Long time Culver's customer. First time visiting this location and officially our last time visiting this location. The wife and I were waiting in line while Darren (or similar name) helped another customer. When the customer was finished we approached the register and as we step up to the register, while looking right at us Darren doesn't acknowledge our presence with even a "right with you" or anything. What is so pressing to cause someone to be so rude and disrespectful you may be asking yourself? There were 3 entire trays to wipe down...mind you he did this wearing the same pink disposable gloves that he had counterfeit checked a $50 bill with and handled numerous food items(but that is an entirely separate issue that I will leave to the Health Department to handle). So you're telling me that wiping a tray down is more important than your next customer? He kept ignoring us with his back to us as he wiped the same tray for over a minute. At this point another employee finally stepped to a register and acknowledged us. With a chuckle I said to her "oh so you're going to actually help us?" At this point Darren turned around and proceeded to glare at us for the duration of our interaction with the employee at the register. I would describe his look as one of extreme hatred for which there may be some other underlying issues. Another employee stated that Darren or whatever his name is was on loan from another store due to Nascar being in town. I would like to know what store loaned him so I can avoid that location as well in the future. You can avoid and disrespect me at your counter but when you start looking at me and my wife with murderous intent in your eye, thats a bit more serious. No more Culver's for us from this location thats for sure. Get some help darren or whatever your name is you obviously...
Read moreJust a bit disappointed with this location...or maybe all are this way, but I have always loved Culver's. I arrived after their lobby closed and the drive-thru was only open. I am here for work and staying right across the parking lot and did not have a vehicle, so I walked over there. there were no cars in the drive-thru when I got there and really just wanted to order two scoops of vanilla frozen custard and had cash out to pay for it, but they denied me because I was not in a car. Then they said that I could order online, but I had my phone in my hotel room just two buildings away. And even if I would order online, which I'm sure would be a lot more expensive, then I would need a car to pick it up unless I paid a third party vendor to deliver it for me. I jokingly mentioned that if I rented the car and went through the drive-through and they mentioned that that would be fine., But was not about to rent a car just so I can go through the drive-through. Or I could have waited and asked somebody who went through the drive-through if they could order it for me. again, they had no problem with that. Like I mentioned earlier, I really love the Culver's frozen custard and many times I get a burger and fries there too. This experience has tarnished my impression of Culver's and may not go back. I know I am only one person, and they may not care to lose one person as a valued customer, but it could have been resolved if they would have sold me the two scoops of custard. Very...
Read moreWe had a late night craving for a Culvers mushroom & swiss burger, cheese curds, & their infamous and scrumptious diet and regular root beer. This is the best root beer we have ever had. We never get anything else to drink. Unfortunately we were coming home after shopping and it was 10:30pm (the restaurant closes at 11:00pm.)
We were going to order a concrete mini mixer but they were out of vanilla completely and they didn't think there was enough chocolate for two mixers...this was something I've never encountered there.
Our food came out hot with few mushrooms and hardly able to notice swiss cheese. It was a bit disappointing as I forgot that their stock sandwich had 2 burgers on it. I have ordered a single cheeseburger basket and then paid an upcharge for the mushrooms.
The burgers were quite greasy but they were cooked. This was unusual for this location as we have always gotten the very best food from this location. I will call up this less than Culvers-standard to the fact we walked in nearly closing time.
We left before the customers who had walked in before us, yet while we finished our meals a staff person came and asked if we were watching the tv because they were closing soon. We were watching it but we did state it was ok to turn it off as we were just finishing. I would have left it on for customers until they left or it was closing time. Service was quick but as I mentioned the food was not at the same caliber that we have come to expect from...
