Well, I normally have a good experience. There was the night a few winters ago when I ordered online, arrived, and they had locked the door for having run out of food. I kept trying to get the young man mopping the floor's attention, and finally, he saw me, started to open the door but then gestured as to whether I had money (rubbing his fingers together). I assume this was because I was dressed in ski pants, a thermal shirt, and knit hat. Because I am Black, he thought I was homeless and in winter donations on a cold night instead of something closer to the truth, like that I was back from skiing or headed to a snow-shoe hike up north. I pretty much told him open the damn door. He did, and I brushed by his a*. I ended up getting some coupons because they shut down some other machines as well.
That should have been the end of me and Habit Midtown, but the burger was pretty good, and after a few visits, I can say that, generally, there are regular workers here who are always genuinely polite.
However, I am at the spot now and watched a supervisor pick up trash, throw it away, and continue to expedite food. Hell, he picked up the trash (a bag that had fallen out the cabinet and onto the floor) by the edge like he would put it up top on the stacks with the others. That would have been a no-no. However, equally bad is that he balled it, tossed it, and went back to putting fries and burgers in bags! When I mentioned it to the manager and other staff, they looked at me as if, so what do you want us to do? Theyāre his fingers... The manager eventually asked (or clarified rather) who it was, called him, and gestured for him to wash his hands. The guy went and watched his hands.
I wasn't trying to embarrass anyone or make a scene, but damn, no apology, no sense of this is something we control for other than what you just witnessed. It was as if they were doing me a favor. Well, I don't want that dust, hair, dog fecal matter, and dried urine from the restroom on my food, in, or in my bags, so please do me that solid all the time and per any state and federal regulations.
I've been concussed so trying to rest and get easy meals, but I will be heading to the store this evening so I can prepare my own s*.
It didn't seem to connect that washing your hands was something you do before handling food after picking up trash from the floor.
They really should do it after handling cash and cards at the register too, but I draw the line with no wash after picking items up on the floor.
I likely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe burgers are phenomenal, overall the food is really good. BUT Let me start off with my husband and I only have a cheat meal once a week, typically on Fridays. So when we have a cheat meal we have really high expectations. The reason for my 2 stars is for 2 recent bad experiences. One was less than a month ago. My husband pre ordered 2 charburgers and 1 double. He picked it up to go. At home we realized that they were all single burgers. What irritated me about this is we paid for a double. We didnt want to go back and I figured calling them to let them know they shorted us a patty wasnt worth the hassle. Today being leg day we were craving a burger. (Btw) We literally live across the street from in and out but we both agreed for habit. We placed the order at the drive through at 9:10pm, we literally didnt get our food until 9:37. Which is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. We got our food headed home. We are 7 minutes away. (I GPS'd it) we got home and the order was right but the bottom buns were soggy. My husband and I super disappointed. I am pretty sure someone had a complicated order a couple cars ahead of us, my suggestion would be to let them go up ahead so the rest of the people in line dont have to wait 30...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreService was terrible on Sunday. I placed an order on habit website for delivery. I received my order and it was missing bacon in my 2 salads and I was missing 10 crispy chicken bites. I called Habit I was hung up on my Debbie, called back spoke to another woman she told me to call DoorDash customer service and they will send someone out to deliver was is missing. I then call DoorDash and Kari, she was also rude, tells me to call Habit since I ordered on website so they can request the delivery or refund me. I explained what habit told me and Kari spoke over me told me I was wrong and was very very rude, no customer service at all. So I called Habit back and they said only way to get anything resolved I needed to either go to the location or provide feedback. This makes absolutely no sense. I paid an extra $10.50 to have the food delivered so why would I go to the location if I already paid for the service. I would like a complete refund. This is ridiculous and the lack of customer service was insane. Being given the run around by Habit and DoorDash is very disappointing. Why offer this service if when there are problems there is no...
