I was excited for Toddler Playtime Tuesday morning so we showed up early to have some fun. First thing I noticed was the gate to the toddler area wouldn’t latch. I asked an employee as she was passing and she just kept walking and said “yeah i think it’s broken” and kept on walking.
There was a spot in the floor where the soft mats bubbled up which cause my little guy to trip quite a few times. No amount of stepping on them seemed to get them to lay flat.
The light up peg board was one of the attractions but all of the pegs were removed except for 2. One of which was stuck inside of the hole and could hardly be removed.
Another attraction had little vehicles you could sit on in a circle. I’m assuming if you hit the button it would rotate, however, the button didn’t work so that wasn’t able to be enjoyed.
The play area looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. I know we’re all wearing socks but it still gets dirty. There were quite a few pieces of trash under the play areas along with extraneous balls from a ball pit somewhere. Granted they were mostly out of reach of the children but one would think they’d do deep cleans every so often.
The rest of the facility looked like it will be fun with older kids for sure. For having a special slot for toddlers, you’d think they would have a better toddler area or at least keep it up better than it has been. I was really disappointed in...
Read moreI appreciate the workers here and there patience with the kind of parents that come here. It's nice that such a place exists for kids to have fun and be a kid.
However, the kinds of parents that come here are some of the dirtiest trash that you will ever meet. You can say that about a lot of places, but my experience with this place has been mixed because of this. Just the worst, low quality trash people that probably live in Cashion or the Avondale low income area that come here and show there ignorant behavior after yet another Friday night of drinking around their children most likely.
From being accused of cutting in line to these parents kids pushing my own to arguing with workers, it has made me change when I come here and I advise anyone else with half a brain cell to do the same.
I won't ever come here during busy hours again. That means in the afternoon of Saturday, after the trash gets over there hangovers and have enough energy to take their kids. It's much better to come right at open.
To management, thank you for trying to maintain this place. A lot of kids really enjoy coming here. Remember to do it for them. Upgrade equipment every now and then, make sure kids are safe and please, don't let the garbage that come here get in the way of remembering why we do the things we do for...
Read moreThis is a great place for kids to play. BUT I have a few issues.
The staff are all kids. There is no manager or shift leader that I can tell that looks to be older than maybe 19?! Every single employee here is on their phone every second of the day. There were three kids just booting a basketball back and fourth by the eating area and came about 3” from my 2 y/o’s face all while two of the employees were snap chatting away about 6’ away. Which leads me to my next complaint.
It seems like the staff will pretty much do anything they can to keep from opening the climbing wall. You can tell that they’re miserable when they have to pay attention to anything other than their phones. You ask them about opening it and they say “in 15 minutes”. That of course turns into 45 minutes. Then over an hour.
The 5 and under area does not have a spring loaded gate to keep the gate closed. It seems like every time I walk by it, the gate is wide open and the little ones can walk out if you’re not paying attention.
Overall, this place seems like the typical passive income business. Everything was new when built and once it breaks down, they’ve already got your money and have no interest in repairing anything or keeping up the satisfaction of their...
