My family was traveling through Baker City after a vacation. We were sick of fast food and had the idea to order takeout here. Great decision. It is just a couple minutes off the interstate, and the to-go order was done in fifteen minutes or so. I asked for additional to-go boxes so that I could divide the entrees among our kids. It took just a couple minutes to portion the food out so they could eat en route. The server who was helping with our to-go order was extremely friendly and accommodating.

And the food was fantastic. Their salsa is in the top five of restaurant salsas I've eaten. It's full of tomatoes and onions and has just the right amount of heat to please the masses who like it on the mild side while still giving a shout out to those that like hot salsa.

To sum up, if you're traveling through town, HIGHLY consider skipping the fast food on the strip and trying...

I've eaten here several times over the past few years when passing through baker city. The food is good. The service is ok. A few days ago we stopped in for a late lunch while passing through town. Another diner in the restaurant actually came over to our table to express his disgust with the shirt my husband had on supporting a political candidate. He was condescending, unkind and demanded to know where we were from. He tried to get other diners to notice us by announcing loudly to the entire restaurant we were from Utah. While paying his bill he continued his rant to the cashier and another customer coming in the front door. Baker city is 1/2 way between my home and my daughters home in Washington state so we stop here often for lodging, gas and of course food. We have now decided to no longer spend any of our money in this little town and will instead plan our trip...

The food was delicious, large portions, but best of all was the wonderful customer service. When my family first sat down, the waitress said that there was a mistake in the kitchen and they had 2 plates of food with no one to give them to. She asked if my family wanted free food. We said yes, of course. She brought us the free food, and we also ordered a few more plates of food for our children. When she brought our children's food out, we realized there had been a mistake. My son had ordered eggs, but was brought taquitos. I alerted the waitress to the mistake, as my son really wanted his eggs. The waitress then said she was sorry for the mistake and we could keep the taquitos for no charge, and she shortly brought my son his eggs. So that's the story of how we received 3 free plates of food, and were very impressed with the wonderful...

Mexican food is by far my favorite! So, I was really looking forward to this dinner after spending so many hours on the road today. All I can say is that I am extremely disappointed. The fajitas were dry and flavorless. Also, there was less than a cup of the dried, flavorless chicken. Even adding the whole little bowl of salsa didn’t make them palatable. The tortillas were dry and hard, the rice was flavorless and I’m not sure the guacamole even had real avocados in it. Add to that, the service was horrible. I’m not sure if it’s because I was by myself and there were larger parties, but I was completely neglected. I’m not sure who has reviewed this place in the past, but I feel like they’ve never been to a real Mexican restaurant. I’ve been to Mexican restaurants all over the world, and this was probably the second to the worst one ever!

I visited El Erradero last night with a large group of sixteen others. I have to say this was hands down a GREAT choice. The staff were so accommodating and were not phased by this large group. The service was friendly and fast. All of the dishes ordered were getting standing ovations. The chili Colorado burrito was HUGE and came with rice and beans and the bill only came out to $12. My huge plate of shredded chicken nachos with guacamole and sour cream was only $15! Huge portions of great tasting food for a fantastic price. The atmosphere was stunning, a local told me the family has owned the restaurant for nearly thirty years and the paintings on the walls are depictions from their home town. If you are visiting Baker City, OR give this place a visit.

Wish I could give a better review but I just didn’t love my food. I got the combo fajitas with chicken and shrimp. The dish lacked flavor and depth I ended up only eating the beans and rice because the proteins were so lackluster. The woman at the counter was very kind and efficient taking my Togo order. Overall would not recommend fajitas, seems to be a lot of good reviews in regards to enchiladas. Not a lot of food options in baker city unfortunately.
