Finally came here after hearing all the buzz. Started off with a jalapeño croissant and an order of a dozen donuts. Came out to about $36, which is about the right price. Not a fan of jalapeños, but I have to say this is one of the better croissants I've had. It was flakey, soft, and tasty. Definitely recommended. As for the donuts, it was a lot of miss than hits. The horchata donut was very soft and tasty, but the rest was ok. The donut I really came for though is the strawberry one that everyone was talking about and my fave, the maple bar. The maple bar was too dense and heavy, and the taste just wasn't there. The strawberry was a let down. Overall, I'd still recommend this place because they have a lot of unique variety of donuts and the croissants are very good. The place has a nice decor and friendly staffing. Some will say a bit pricey, but the price is more than fair. I give them a 3/5 ⭐️. Some of the donuts need to lighten up, they're too dense. Will be back to try the other flavors soon. We decided to give this new spot a try. We ordered a dozen mixed donuts and were happy with those. We also ordered a turkey and cheese croissant for my 8 years old. We got to the car and my daughter starts eating her croissant. She complains it's spicy. I looked at it and it had jalapeños in it. My husband said he would go back in to get it corrected and replaced. The girl at the front didn't apologize for her mistake and her excuse was that it's hard to tell which is which since they are all put together in one area. Thats fine and I understand people make mistakes but we didn't get an apology for her mistake and to top it all off, she charged my husband for the replacement. My husband only paid because he's a nice guy and wanted to get our daughter her croissant. If I went in instead, it would have been a different situation. I recently tried the giant donut called The Texas, and it was absolutely amazing! The donut itself was very tasty, soft, and perfectly moist exactly what you want in a fresh, giant donut. For its size, the price is unbelievable at only $10.00, which makes it a fantastic deal. Before ordering, I called around to several places in Bakersfield, and no one else makes a donut like this,it’s truly one of a kind. On top of that, we received excellent customer service from the owner. I didn’t catch his name, but he went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. What made it even better was seeing how much the birthday girl loved it, it was the highlight of the celebration and such a fun, delicious treat to share.
