Never have I been asked to leave a restaurant. Unacceptable and ABSOLUTELY RUDE service. Our server told us other people were waiting to be seated at our table, so, we politely just got up and left after having eaten our meal. Never have I been asked to leave a restaurant because they wanted to turn over their table. This past Sunday morning, some friends and I were excited to try Huevo House. We all got our own plates at different times, which is expected and okay, but it did take at least ten minutes for the last plate (Birria Benedict) to hit our table from when the first plate arrived. We never complained. Once we were done eating is when I immediately noticed our server was trying to kick us out of her table because she visited our table at least every three minutes asking us if we needed refills or anything. Mind you, she never came to offer a coffee refill during our meal, we had to ask for one. She cleared our entire table each time only leaving two cups at the end. I tried to ignore this as we were enjoying our conversation, but I began to notice how she never smiled at any of her other guests or made conversation with them. I have waited tables in the past, but never have I, or any restaurant I worked for, asked a guest to leave solely because other people needed to be seated. You just do not do that. We had split the bill into two, so she essentially got a good tip. We were there for two hours, but going to a sit down restaurant is an experience and one pays a tip for the service. Finally, she came to our table and said that other people were waiting to be seated. Maybe I was in shock that she suggested we leave as my friends and I immediately got up to leave, but as we were walking out of the restaurant, I couldn’t believe what had just happened. I asked for our servers name because management should be aware a server is pushing guests out. One server is not a reflection of the entire staff and management, but I would hope this isn’t something management is pushing their servers to do because I would like to see the restaurant thrive if that isn’t the case and no one should be made to feel like they are unwelcome.
Pictured are the huevos rancheros I ordered. Very small portions, the four tortillas were tiny, rice was flavorless, beans were so runny I needed a spoon, and the green salsa tasted like store bought...
Read moreI heard about all the hype with Huevo House so I had to give it a review. First impressions of location is not the finest, I am not a fan of Ming Ave . The area was filled with homeless walking by , parking lot was extremely full as it shares a lot with Home Depot . Now it’s time to walk in :
The decor is a twist of Mexican and modern hipster greenery not a fan because every restaurant is doing the same thing right now.
I ordered the Birria Omelette with fruit and biscuits and gravy. The omelette was very small and portion could be bigger for the price. The birria was dry and flavorless with no hint of spices or heat. I had to add lots of salt to enhance the flavor. Just a very disappointing take on Birria. The biscuits and gravy was about the only thing I really enjoyed. The biscuit had depth and density and a good doughy taste. The gravy was thick and had the right consistency for the biscuits. The fruit was flavorless and seemed watered down which is really odd. Not a fan of the fruit either.
Now let me describe my service rating : so i was there with a friend who wanted a side of ranch for her fries. She asked a waitress for a side who said “ok” but then appeared to ignore her and do other task . We then proceeded to ask someone else for a side of ranch after waiting a few minutes and this individual looked annoyed that we asked for ranch . He even said “ what do you want?” And we told him again ranch. When he brought it out he placed it on the table with a “here” .This place definitely needs to train more on people skills and service because it is definitely lacking.
My overall opinion of Huevo House is the hype is not all worth it and its just another over rated restaurant in Bakersfield by people who have no idea...

Upon entering, we were greeted warmly by our server, TD, whose attentiveness throughout our meal enhanced the entire experience. TD's friendly demeanor and knowledge of the menu made our dining experience memorable.
We had the pleasure of speaking with Manager Zani, who shared insights into the restaurant's four-month journey since opening. It was evident that under Zani's management, Huevo House operates seamlessly. Despite being relatively new, the establishment runs like a seasoned veteran in the industry.
One aspect that sets Huevo House apart is its unwavering commitment to quality and customer service. Unlike some establishments that falter in these areas after a year of operation, Huevo House maintains high standards in both aspects. From the presentation of dishes to the flavors bursting in every bite, it's clear that attention to detail is paramount here.
