Went yesterday to shop for a mattress for the very first time. I was there for over an hour trying and laying on different mattresses to feel the different types. Octavio did a great job in listening to what I wanted and gave me options that were going to fit my budget and needs. He even let me lay on them for a bit without seeming like the typical salesman who stays on you. He gave me some space and made me feel comfortable. He even went out of his way to explain the manufactures warranty and the logistics of it (went to 4 other mattress stores and no one explained this). To top it all off, Zachariah (Manager) was able to make sure I walked out with something I wanted without feeling like needed to spend so much. We had a wonderful experience in Mattress Firm Bakersfield, and 99% of it was due to our amazing salesman, Brandon Montes. Buying a mattress is kind of an awkward process, as you have to walk into a giant room and lay on beds while a stranger watches you. Brandon turned it into a fun and easy experience. We can tell that he truly listened to our feedback, because he was able to point us to the perfect mattress with ease. We found "the one" within 15 minutes. Throughout the process, we asked Brandon questions about the different mattresses, including composition, price, and comparisons. He did not stumble ONCE, and was quick to answer with detail. He kept us informed regarding delivery/pick up dates, and when we found out our box springs were coming later than usual, he made it up to us by offering some additional services as an apology. This was my first time buying a mattress and I had been shopping for a few weeks I had my mind set on a mattress at a different store and I had saved up enough to finally buy it. I got to that store and I realized that they don't keep these in stock and it would be 3-4 weeks, which wasn't good as I just threw my mattress out on my way to buy the new one. So I went to Mattress firm on Ming in Bakersfield and I showed them a picture of what I wanted they showed me a few different mattresses but the pricing was to high so they worked with me and I got a great price on a bed with a sleep trial and Ill have the mattress the next day.
