Where do I start? We arrived a few minutes after 12 on a Friday and were informed of a 25 minute wait for a table which was fine. There were three of us adults. We were seated at a table fairly quickly, and within five minutes our drink order was taken and delivered. Although I had asked for a half-and-half for my coffee they brought a flavored creamer but that was not a big deal and they changed it when I pointed it out to them. About 10 minutes later a waitress who admitted she was working her first day came to take our order. After walking away she came back and said she had forgotten to write down one of the orders and could not remember what it was so we helped her with that. A few minutes later she came back again because she didn’t understand what one of the orders actually meant. We tried to encourage her and told her that we know it was her first day and that she would catch on soon enough. After that it was 45 minutes before our food arrived and only after we asked an employee to check on our food. The meat in my skillet breakfast was burned and black. My eggs that were ordered over medium were over hard with broken yolks. At this point in the meal none of our drinks had been refilled. While both of the skillet meals we ordered were badly made, my son said his hamburger and french fries were fine. I’m afraid this might be the new normal for restaurant Service and food as restaurant struggle to find employees with experience. I did tip our waitress as she was trying her best with a little guidance from other staff, and I wanted to make her feel encouraged to keep trying. However, I don’t think I will be going into a Denny’s anytime soon. And YES, I realize it was DENNY’s for...
Read moreMy family and I visited Denny's at the Gosford location for breakfast. The dine in area was well kept, even with a busy crowd. The hostess was friendly and accepted our request to dine on the patio, which was also clean, with modern patio tables and chairs. It also had really nice bulb lights draped across the overhead (I hope to visit one day in the evening when I can really appreciate those). We were helped by a man named Jose, and I would honestly rate the service as a 10 if I could. We were given given the perfect amount of time to make our orders, and upon doing so, Jose went above and beyond to make helpful additions to our orders and to get them filled in a timely manner. He thought of every possible condiment we could need or want and brought them to our table. He was not overbearing as he checked on us. He even communicated to us before leaving to his break and passing our table to his coworker, who was just as friendly and helpful. Our food was delicious and cooked to perfection. I ordered an ultimate omelet with a side of fried ham. It was perfect, especially with the sliced avocado on the side that was offered by Jose. My husband had the triple juicy burger with the option of fries or onion rings. He chose onion rings and commented that they were some of the best that he's had, to which I agree (after trying one .. or two, lol). Finally, my niece enjoyed the jr chocolate chip pancakes, with a side of bacon and scrambled eggs. The fried ham and scrambled eggs were a la carte, but the prices were pretty reasonable. Those items and more can be found at the bottom of the adult menu. I would definitely consider this one of the nicest locations to visit. I would recommend it and...
Read moreI tablet ever complain because I love giving good reviews. Dennys on Gosford is usually our Dennys of choice and I will never come back to this location the days that “Chelsea the manager is working” tonight we came in and were one of the first in the restaurant before it started getting packed. We waited about an hour and a half for our food. My daughter fell asleep waiting for her salad. The lettuce was wilted and she was still falling asleep while trying to stay awake and eat it. We had Sharanjeet as our server which is amazing, we’ve never had a problem with her. My food was finally brought out. My friend were cold and sandwhich was hot outside and the turkey for my super bird was cold. I had to get up after an hour to get a refill. Going back, the waiting was just the topper. The ONLY reason I’m leaving this review is because of the manager on duty. Chelsea never once approached our table and told our waitress she could take ten percent off but she wasn’t going to take the salad off because my daughter took the chicken and good parts of the lettuce. So we left the plate there for her to toss. As I was explaining to her the amount of time we waited was a bit much and her gestures and comments were rude as she proceed to say “ANYWAYS” I said excuse me what manager says anyways to their customer your customer service is horrible. She then proceeded to tell me I could leave. I paid for my bill left my waitress a tip. We left and multiple tables were complaining including the people who walked in with us. Food cold, ok, long wait .. ok but poor customer service especially my management is gross. This was...
