Personally, I think reviews should be about helping the place improve and the people rather than just talking bad about it and judging. Criticism and judging are two different things.
I am leaving this review because it has good quality food. There's your hearty and heavy foods and your lights (salads, soups, fruits). They are all savory. I gave the food a 5/5, service 5/5, and atmosphere 4/5. The food is good and savory. The service is good when they grab your plates and ask for napkins. The atmosphere has family and cozy environment. Literally anything you can ask for a buffet.
I took 1 star from atmosphere because they have fish fountains inside while they have seafood. Which I thought was odd but funny. But I think they should change that. And change the carpet/flooring. But in terms of food, they know what they're doing with the foods. If it's the same food but they have something different once in awhile that's a good thing. Because every fast food or restaurant will have the same foods but have something different, once in awhile, ALSO! I don't know why it's getting bad reviews when it's literally a buffet and with good food and service. Buffets are getting torn down because people want high quality restaurant food and restaurant quality cleanliness, when this is obviously a buffet. They'll clean what is necessary and what they can. Humble yourselves a bit. Enjoy this little family gem while you can because they might knock it down for a bad restaurant that nobody goes to with food that has no flavor. This is a good spot, especially if you're visiting your...
Read moreI’ve been visiting this buffet every now and then, since I was a kid, and it’s always been a favorite of mine. Previously known as “Sakura” Buffet, it has rebranded to Jade but still continues to offer many of the same staples. The restaurant is now much larger, and although it gets busy, I’ve noticed the quality of the food remains consistently fresh. Jade Buffet has to be one of the best Chinese buffets in town. They offer a huge variety of options, my favorites being the sushi bar, desserts, seafood, pizza, skewers, and the best coconut shrimp and cream cheese crab rangoons. I’ve also tried the “Sakura” buffet in LA, and honestly this location in BAKERSFIELD far surpasses it!
A big shoutout to the employees who keep the place together and continually refresh the food, even during peak. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering how you can have “all you can eat”. While some reviews mention the food being “stale,” everything I’ve had was fresh. I recommend visiting either in the early morning or during dinner time, as the freshness might decline...
Read moreAs you walk in you’re greeted by a stench of urine reminded me of a couple nursing homes I have worked in .The girl at the front desk charged twenty a piece one was takeout a very small container , I mentioned how small it was for the same price as sit down price. The place was crowded I can’t imagine why there’s kid’s running around screaming touching the tong’s. The tong’s we’re absolutely sticky some felt slimy I was immediately disappointed with the the lack of cleanness . The food was bland or to hot spicy nothing good stood out about this place ! In my opinion it is utterly disgusting. They have sushi but I would definitely be afraid to try it. Do yourself a favor and save you’re money this restaurant is...
