If i could give it 0 stars i would. we had a very disappointing experience here, especially considering it was for a special occasion. We had our wedding celebration, and the service was slow, disorganized, and made things embarrassing in front of our guests. Food arrived late and cold And rice and Meat not even tender, and some dishes didn't even show up. Definitely not what you expect for such an important day. Would not recommend for events or even regular dining. This is what all the plates looked like on our event, this meat is not even edible!
—Update Regarding the Owner’s respone: First of all, we didn’t come up with stories or ask for money over something that didn’t happen. The issue was clear — the food wasn’t at the level we were promised, and everyone at the wedding noticed. Yes, the food was served, but that doesn’t mean people ate it happily. Many guests took a plate but didn’t finish it because of the taste and quality. Saying “the food was gone = people enjoyed it” doesn’t make sense. That’s not how it works.
Second, no one threatened you. All we asked for was a fair compensation to settle things in a way that makes both sides happy. But when we felt like you weren’t taking it seriously, of course, people expressed their experience through reviews. That’s any customer’s right.
Lastly, this situation doesn’t hurt your reputation unless there’s actually something wrong on your end. If you’re confident your work is always clean and good, things wouldn’t have gotten...
Read moretldr: Food is good, dine-in service is very bad Food: it was quality, authentic lebanese food Atmosphere: clean floors, seats, and tables. Decorations and music were also nice Service: no silverware (had to ask 3x), water bottles instead of glasses of water, very slow delivery (everything required asking for follow up 2 or 3x), served appetiser with no plates or napkins, ketchup packets instead of bottle, no hand soap in bathroom, Served first dish with no spoon or utensil until it started cooling down, served 1 appetizer then 2nd which was fries came out 10 minutes later... Multiple trips dropping off a dish or getting a napkin without grabbing the sodas requested... Again the food was good but the service really killed the enjoyment of going out to eat. The server looked like a 16 year old kid which was very kind and well mannered but simply didn't provide the basics needed at a...
Read moreThe owner and his son were very hospitable and gave a not only a comfortable atmosphere but also a sense of familial nostalgia. I tried the lamb mandi and it exceeded my expectations. The roast lamb was fall of the bone tender and not even gamey at all. It was well seasoned and spiced; you could just cut it with a spoon. The rice was perfumed with spices and a great fluffy mouthfeel. The raisins did take getting used too, but combined that with the crispy onions, it was a good compliment to the rice. The dish was generous albeit quite pricey; but that can be understood as the meat actually takes quite a bit of work and time to get to it's tenderness. It's served with a spicy Yemeni sauce and garlic sauce. Overall, it's a great addition of restaurants in Bakersfield and a great intro to Yemeni food. Definitely check this place out if you're into...
