Shocked! When we have gone here to eat in the past we have had no issues, and enjoy the food. Today's visit I was shocked, and horrified what I saw behind the counter. We walk in to see the dinner empty where normally it's packed by that time of day. We order our food, but when I paid with my card she said i will bring it to you. I was why, and what's the problem? She said it may take awhile. That never happened before, and I was worried maybe she was taking my card number down. Then after 5 mins she gives me my card back. I turned to watch our food being cooked not by the cook, but by one of the young waitress. I looked around the dinner for the normal cook, and didn't see him. I was thinking why is she cooking our food, and where is the cook? I see the young waitress pick up a raw meat patty putting it on the grill, and then started to touch the other foods not putting clean new gloves on. I said omg I can't eat the food now, and told my fiance what I was seeing. He had a blank look on his face not knowing what to say or do. I continue to watch as the young waitress touches everything on the food condiment area still with the contaminated gloves with raw meat on it. Then I see the other young waitress that took our order start to make our fries with no gloves on just her bare hands handling the fries dumping it in the basket touching some of the fries. Never saw her, or the other waitress wash their hands at any point. We get our food, but I never ate mine. My fiance decided to eat the burger, and hoped it didn't make him sick later. I just sat there while he ate. I started to watch the young waitress again cooking another person's order, and this time she had raw bacon slices in her hands again wearing the same gloves with the raw meat on it. Again she never put new gloves on, and continued to touch not only all the food, but the surfaces plus cooking utensils. After witnessing this today we will no longer be eating here. I don't know why there wasn't a cook, and why the waitress were cooking preparing the food violating the food safety laws. No excuse why no one was watching them, or no excuses crossing...
Read moreI went in awash with Happy memories of taking my daughter's to the old Woolworths Luncheonette and received a RUDE Awakening. I paid for my meal with my bank card and it was $8.17. The lettuce was limp and brown and I decided to overlook that. But the potato salad was elderly-tasting and the meat was uncooked! But the worst thing of all was the attitude of the young man "in charge". I asked him to refund my money to my bank card, and I don't know how that was a problem, but evidently it was, Because he slapped a five and three ones on the counter and said "And don't come back!" I remember when anyone truly "in charge" would have been appalled at what I was served and would have tried to make things right. Customer Service is a thing of the past. I was perfectly polite, calm, and respectful and expected the same in return. Indeed if I ever Do go back it will be because one of my daughters will want to. Anyone who Cared about customer satisfaction would have seen with their own eyes who was at fault and would have used the moment as a teaching opportunity to improve the product. You can see with Your Own Eyes from my photos the truth of the affair. And not only did he apparently not know how to do a bank card refund, he SHORTCHANGED ME 17¢!!! I May go back just to see if my experience was a complete and total Freak. I was not just disappointed, I was actually offended. 😑☹️😤😶 Evidently they 9cleaned up their act. I will go back to See! Like I said, I was very dissatisfied with...
Read moreWe were really looking forward to my first visit there. First, the manager arrived only 5 minutes before the 10 o'clock open time. So after waiting another 7 minutes she finally opened it, explains that they had to get the money situated. In my working days we arrived 15 minutes early to prepare and opened on time. Then, we had to wait another 30 minutes because the snack bar didn't open until 1030. So we browsed the first floor and had a ball looking at all the treasures in the store. We had our lunch which was very good. Wait staff was pleasant, but, not overly friendly, like the good ole days. I miss genuine friendliness. At the check out, the manager helped a customer behind me and no apologies for skipping me. Not even sure she knew I was next and she didn't ask. Over all, I was a bit disappointed by the employees in but their inventory and...
