Burger King — Restaurant in Balch Springs

First off, none of this is exaggerated. I tried going through the 9foot drive thru on the right first because I drive my work van mostly and it’s 8’10. They waited for us to say something before talking, which all they said was “this window is out of order” and I replied “I can’t fit through the other window” and he said “yes”. I told him “hey no I can’t fit through that drive through” a couple times before I realized he was ignoring me. So whatever... he’s rude.. so I walked in and there was a line of 4 people. I thought that meant they were waiting a while and the employees would come in and knock out the line fast. I waited 8 minutes to order. After that, it took me 40 minutes to get my food. I walked in there at 11 on the dot and looked at my phone when I left, 11:48. Thursday. And it took this long? The manager didn’t care at all. Everyone was moving slow. There was no intensity in anybody’s body. I don’t ever EVER write reviews because nobody reads them, but this I just want corporate to read, along with all the other reviews, and understand how terrible this location is. Oh AND my food was cold. Terrible manager. Not enough employees staffed (apparently the 6 I noticed weren’t enough for Thursday...

Management needs to get a better handle on the employees at this location. We stopped by for dinner today and one of the employees was using the playplace as his own personal daycare center and not watching his boys. At least 2 of the 3 boys looked too old to be there in the first place. They were running around and playing tag, running into the smaller kids over and over along the way. They were going down the up side of the playplace as fast as they could and one of them kicked my daughter in the face as she was climbing up. They were racing up the slide when they knew other kids were coming down and they would also hide on both sides of the bottom of the slide to scare smaller kids coming down. I complained to the manager and the father came and told them to be good. As soon as he was back in the kitchen they were at it again. Another mom (who also had smaller kids playing) asked them to stop and they wouldn't. I had to yell at them to stop just so my kids would have a safe place to play. THIS...

I work second shift, so my choices for occasional out to eat are limited. I decided to stop at bk bc I haven’t had it in a while. Now I remember why. First of all, the wait time was ridiculous for how COLD my food was. I mean isn’t the purpose of fast food to have “hot fresh, ready to eat food”?I think it’s quite ridiculous I had to come home and put it in the microwave.

It’s also quite ridiculous that someone with the title of “assistant manager” would hand me this food. I did eat it after I got home and put the sht in the microwave. Prolly won’t go back to bk for another long while. The Sunnyvale one is still decent. Some of the onion rings were gushy undercooked. At far as atmosphere goes - the Drive thru looks trashy and littered. Flickering lights at the order speaker. Should’ve figured then that it prolly wasn’t a good idea to return. No thanks. Best thing about bk in Balch Springs? Seeing it in your rear view mirror. Not wasting my money...
