El Gallo De Oro — Restaurant in Balch Springs

This place was very delicious at one time but the more they seem to improve the inside, the less they seem to care about the food. We use to come here weekly and we would recommend to everyone but I may not even go back again myself at this point. I understand that sometimes places have an off day and I always will go back again to be sure but that's just not the case anymore. The trompo tacos are always too burnt when we get them now to enjoy the flavor. The barbacoa had an odd flavor and nobody in my group of 6 would eat it and the campachanas came to us so cold that the cheese was not even melted. The last thing that made the place lose our business ultimately was that it was in the upper 90s outside and there was no AC in the building, not even fans circulating. Sorry to leave a negative but it's the only way they could pay attention and improve. I gave them 3 chances and all of them let me down. It would be nice if it was cleaner and better restrooms. 1 time tacos were ok 2 other times, Meat was old, dry, refried. Not the best flavor. I think a few of these reviews might be from friends or family because they're shining and almost like they're talking of a different place. I understand you want to help but it really sucks to drive to a place expecting something and not true. Hopefully they improve and gladly...
