DMP Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Balch Springs

The pictures of this place are NOT ACCURATE. I get there and one of my buddies was there and said he only went because of the pictures I shared on Facebook. I get there and on a Friday thinking the place would be busy. Wasn't busy! The little old Chinese lady that owns this place is extremely hateful. I wasn't even there 1 hour and she cut me off EVEN THOUGH I PREPAID FOR MY BEERS. She b*tched me out in her language that I couldn't understand so no worries. Although she cut me off the girl working still gave me my beers because I prepaid. The food there is high-school cafeteria food and VERY OVERPRICED so I didn't eat. Her son Han works there as like a bouncer or whatever checking people for weapons as they come in, he was nice. The DJ or whatever you want to call him was terrible at playing music. I guess all and all if you like shooting pool, paying for overpriced cafeteria food and being cut off from drinking GO HERE. Otherwise steer clear!...

This used to be a place I really enjoyed and I haven’t been since I met my husband almost 3 years ago. The bartender was playing pandora which wasn’t my vibe I like to play the jukebox so the music sucked. The bartender was really nice and we had a good time except at the end when I got my tab I asked “mama” (the owner) how much the shots were when I first got there she said $6 and we had 4 shots and 4 beers 2 jack and coke but my tab was $72 (I don’t mind paying for my drinks) but when I asked for a itemized recipe it took like 25 mins to get and when it came she charged me $7 for dos xx and $6 for everything else. Which should have been $64 and not $72 and she added another shot which I did not have so she added an extra shot and over charged me. Adding stuff I didn’t drink and making my tab more plus charging me $7 for a dos xx is straight bs. The dos xx was more than the liquor?? lol WE...

We love supporting our friends at DMP Bar & Grill, or as we like to call it, Mom’s Bar & Grill. This place has been around for years, and it never disappoints! The service is always top-notch — warm, welcoming, and genuine.

Han is truly one of a kind — not only is he the chef, but he wears many hats and makes sure everything runs smoothly. And Momma? She's the heart of the place — so special and full of love.

We had a few drinks that were reasonably priced, and the Philly cheesesteak meal hit the spot. Delicious, satisfying, and cooked with care.
