El Trompito — Restaurant in Balch Springs

My order was totally wrong and neither of the ladies could understand what I was saying. I ordered a taco plate (3 barbacoa), and a beef fajita tostado plate.. I got 3 beef fajita tacos and when I went inside to find out about the tostados that I did not get, it took them about 5 minutes to tell me that one side of the menu is wrong and they do not offer tostados...my son's order was correct and he finished his food within minutes... I gave 4 stars because even though my order was wrong THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. Definitely the BEST taco AND BEANS I've tasted since moving to the Dallas area. It is seasoned to perfection and the portions were awesome. Although there was a language barrier the ladies were SUPER friendly. First when we ordered on the phone the woman was quick and easy to order from, no problems. Then when we walked in for the food she had the biggest smile and just had a great aura to her. When we got home and tried the food… oh my god it was delicious. The quesadilla was PACKED with trompo meat and they were not stingy. The horchata was even more perfect, ice cold. Food was okay. My problem was with everything else, you have to order and pick up your own food, and the music was BLASTING at the highest it could go. We were distraught, combined with the blaring volume of the SEVEN tvs they had in there, I don't think we'd go back. When we asked the employee to turn the speaker music down, he sadly said that the owners wouldn't allow it. Poor guy, he said he didn't want that loud music either.
