La Chapalita Ice Cream — Restaurant in Balch Springs

Last night I stopped by and order fresas con crema and a medium plate of fruit. Let lady at register know I didnt want any lime. Other lady who was making the order was putting lime so I immediately told her I asked for no lime in which she said i'll fix it. She walks to the back and I think to myself she's going to just wash the fruit. When she comes back I asked if she went to wash it and she said no. I said so you went all the way to the back to get new fruit and she said yes. I opened the box and this lady had washed the fruit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who in their right mind washes the fruit instead of giving the customer new fruit! Very unsanitary especially not knowing what the hell she went to do in the back. I told lady at register and she apologized and had another lady give me new fruit in...

The food was ok, but I have nothing but bad things to say about the service and the ladies working in this location. They got my order wrong. After I notified them of the error, they did not want to fix their mistake and wanted me to the food as it was. I notified them that this issue needs to be resolved because I ordered correctly. I understand mistakes happen, however I was not responsible. With a very rude and unprofessional manner they remade my order. The lady kept staring at me in a very mean and rude way. I asked for a exchange on a very chalky ice cream. They gave it to me from the bottom of the tub where the ingredients did not mix well. She was going to give me a new flavor, then some lady boss walked in and reprimanded her in front of me. Stating that I had already tasted the ice cream and had eaten a great portion of it, that she could not honor the change. I spoke to her and asked her to try it yourself and she dipped the taste stick on top of the tub and she said “esta bien”. This place is a joke.
