I and my family have supported this business three times since we moved to the area. 1st experience: family of 4 arrive and was seated, it was not very busy. We placed our orders and waited for our appetizers and main courses to arrive. We noticed 2 other tables of 2 people came in after us and was seated they had gotten their food first. We flagged down the server (male) and inquired about out food wait. He assured us food should be out soon. We waited for a total of 36min before our food came out. One of our kids had to wait even longer (5more min) before his food came out. I waited before complaining to see if we would be offered anything before finishing our meals. Nothing was offered not even an apology. Let me digress here... The food was GREAT as always! The service not so much. I decided to give this place another try because I understand life has no absolutes. Also, we ALWAYS tip at LEAST 20% at every visit! 2nd experience: Me and my oldest son came in right before the restaurant closes before lunch, the waitress did offer us the carry out option and sat us at the bar. She was very hospitable and pleasant. We ordered our food, while we waited she poured us water and offered us to sit outdoors (without service). I appreciated her generous spirit in serving, we left a tip with her. Our food came out fast, we sat outside and enjoyed our food. We packed up our trash and left. Over all, a good experience even though we did not dine in as planned. 3rd experience: 9/16/2021(yesterday) I came in around 6:30pm and waited at the desk to be seated ( I was waiting on a friend to join me for dinner). While waiting for about 7min to be seated, other patrons came in behind me ( a party of four). The waitress comes over about 3min after the party had arrived and seated them, I was in utter disbelieve because the area is so small it is impossible to have missed me standing there. Even the patrons the waitress was sitting had a shocked look on their faces (But they chose not to say a word...lol). I started waiving at the waitress(all the patrons saw me though), she just ignored me. At this point my friend that was meeting me called because she couldn't find the place. I stepped outside to chat with my friend, I decided not to dine at Kittiwat last night because of the mismanagement of service. I even called the restaurant after I left to speak to the waitress in an effort to get to the reason she blatantly treated me the way she did. Also in an effort to find out why she was putting that bad energy out in the world like that. I will probably never find out because that is the nature of humans. I can conclude so many reasons why me and my family was treated the way we were treated. I have some pretty solid scenarios but I will never truly know. However, I will leave you all with this... When you are not at peace from within you will put that same energy out into the world. It does come back to you in one way or another! While we have breath in our bodies it is never to late to make changes and do better. Look within and you will find the answers you need. God created EVERYTHING, he is the source of creation. We are...
Read moreI came with family on 5/30/25 after attending my cousins HS graduation. I am extremely disappointed on several factors with this restaurant. First, it was very difficult to place our order with the server. It was very clear she was new. I wholeheartedly understand how that can be, but she definitely needed more support from management because she seemed to not clearly understand the menu and our requests. My food was incorrect (which we were NOT at all surprised) when brought out. While our group had their food, I had to wait which was unfortunate. The remainder of our experience was fine UNTIL the check out experience. We gave clear instructions on how to pay for the bill to split accordingly. We provided 3 credit cards and our bill was roughly $135. The server took a while to get back with our receipts which we initially found odd, but didn’t think anything of it. We signed & tipped her. When I got home, I decided to do some financial things for the month of June and noticed I was charged roughly $131 dollar. This did not reflect the $35 ish dollar receipt that I signed off on. THE MATH WAS NOT MATH-ING! How can this be split in away between 3 cards? That is majority of the bill! When I called the restaurant, apparently the server ran out cards incorrect which hey it happens! But what really pissed me off it that NOBODY took the initiative to tell us the mishap that occurred! Apparently another manager helped the server correct the error, but didn’t think to address this error with the customers. As a person in a management/leadership position in my career, it is YOUR responsibility to own the mistake and notify all parties immediately and apologize which none was done. I requested a copy of the voided transaction and was told the owner would need a day or two to retrieve this information for me to send to me directly. I have called 3x since that day and have been told that someone would contact me. It is now almost a week now and I have not received a phone call from a manager or an owner. I absolutely love this place and their food, but after this experience I will never dine here again. I am extremely disappointed on how things were handled and the LACK of communication and transparency from this establishment. Do better for your customers! This was...
Read moreMy friends and I came to Kittiwat last night for a celebratory dinner. This was only my second time there and for my friends it was their first. The first time I went there it was about a year ago during the week with my husband. We thought it was great and had always wanted to go back so that's why I picked it for dinner again. There was 8 of us. When I got there around 5:30 it was still pretty empty and we didn't have a reservation so I asked the host if they had room for us and he was very accommodating and put enough tables together for all of us immediately. I went to the bar to have a drink while waiting for the rest of the party to show. By 6:15 4 of us were there and we were at the bar, one couple had just arrived, we were at the bar and were going to have a drink at the bar while waiting and before the couple that had arrived could even settle in the bartender tells us to go to our table. I thought that was odd and didn't know why we couldn't stay at the bar. The four of us order lots of apps and drinks from our table while waiting for the rest of the party. Up till this point besides the weird thing with the bartender the service had been great. It is a Friday night and the restaurant was full. Everyone gets there and we all order our food. It took them over an hour to bring us our food and not once did the server come by and say I'm sorry it's taking so long, or offer to comp us anything for the long wait. There was another large party that came in after us and got out before us so I'm not sure why we weren't treated with the same priority. Then when it came to closing out our bill we gave our server our cards and waited at least 20 minutes and didn't see him anywhere in the restaurant. I eventually got up to ask someone else where our bills and cards were so we could leave. What we thought was going to be about a two hour dinner, which would seem reasonable, ended up taking about three hours and during this entire time we never received any apologies or communication from our server about what was going on. I don't know that my friends will go back and that is why I'm giving them there stars. Tip, if you're gonna be that busy, hire more servers to manage all customers...
