Charles Corner Pizza, Deli, and Grocery — Restaurant in Baltimore

I used to pick up from this establishment back when they were Nino's. I once liked the owner and the unique spicing to the sauce.

I moved back to the neighborhood and the place he renamed himself as, Charles St Pizza, was misadvertising hours. I was disappointed more than a few times but I got one order in, during the summer of 2022. The owner was nice over the phone, and the pizza was perfectly average.

After a year of wondering what was up, I saw him open sporadically as I walked by, but only once in a while, at very odd hours.

Eventually, I attempted to call in an order after visually confirming that he was open.

I really did want to give the place formerly known as Nino's my business and called to ask if the pick-up special was still around. I didn't act entitled to it-- I just asked.

Hey, no biggie if the old pricing wasn't around, but it was sort of a biggie when the owner skipped curt, went straight to aggressive, then immediately hung up on me.

I discovered Viccino's just a few doors down while Charles St was misadvertising hours and I've stuck with them ever since despite being late to the game! Viccino's pizza is tastier, the front-of-house is more courteous, and the venue seems much cleaner.

This is one of the worst run businesses I have ever encountered. Once I went to pick up an order and the door was locked as if the carryout was closed, but then after I left I received a call saying my order will be ready in about 45 minutes! On another occasion I went to pick up an order and it looked like the man who I presume is the owner was just opening up the restaurant at 6:50 p.m. This time I was told my order wouldn't be ready for about 30 minutes! No apologies. When I shared my last experience with the man and suggested he needs to learn better how to run a business he told me not to tell him how to run his business and to get out...

Food 1/10 wasn’t ableist to pick my drink delivery was worse did not follow instructions and poor delivery service my bag came ripped flats were pockey to much fat and ranch tasted expired I was very disappointed because I saw all the good reviews…. I wouldn’t suggest my food tasted bad still ate because I have no food but if I did for sure wouldn’t be from this place please watch out because my stomach got really bad afterwards and had to throw up plea read before purchase looking...
