I had a horrible experience here. I visited yesterday 6/1/24 and the experience was still bothering me so I knew I had to make a review. The staff must have changed because a few years ago, it wasnāt like this. Cashier (darker skin Indian man: sorry if ethnicity is wrong) makes you feel stupid instead of explaining what the sub is if you have the wrong idea. Kept saying I ordered a cheeseburger instead of explaining its burger patties on sub roll and then looked at me like I was legitimately stupid. My friend and I get done ordering and she goes to the White Passing Latino Male (WPLM-he will come up again) with bumps all over his face to ask for the bathroom key. WPLM asks if she ordered and she said yes. Instead of him asking to see the ticket (which I have in my hand) he tells her to go to the cashier. Cashier then tells her to go back to WPLM. So she goes back to him and he then has the nerve to tell her that she has to order. So she yells to me to show him the ticket. I then later find out that WPLM told her thereās no reason to get loud and to calm down before he finally handed over the keyā¦as if he was trying to make it seem like she was yelling at him. Furthermore, he was the one causing the issue in the first place. Anyways, she goes to the bathroom and thatās when I start feeling/seeing eyes on me. WPLM keeps looking at me, both cooks wearing the Wild Ones snapbacks keep looking at me in between tasks, and the cashier kept looking at me. Iām so grateful that we can see them making the food otherwise I wouldāve asked for a refund and left without the food. Then WPLM walks over to the cashier and stays there for about a minute or two. He yells, very loudly, One Ticket. Then he starts going back to his area at the end of the counter and says something here he has to say the phrase one ticket. Again One Ticket is very loud. All of a sudden, security in the building sprints into action and starts to fast ,but not too fast, walk towards the bathroom. At that same time my friend came from the bathroom so the security guard had to save face and went to stand near where the lottery portion is. My friend wanted to eat there so against my better judgment we sat and ate our food. It was so hot back there that you donāt have to worry about sitting more than the 15-30 min time limit. The food was good, not as great as it used to be. I have never felt more uncomfortable as a black woman in an establishment more than I did here and I currently live in an area where Iām frequently the only or one of few black people. I understand that some stuff happens in Baltimore, especially near the strip clubs at times. But thatās the place you chose and you shouldnāt make that every persons problem that comes in. The staff needs major...

ā Areas for Improvement Some visitors report inconsistent food quality: for example, one review mentioned āfood was old and cold ⦠sandwich was missing condiments and was overācooked.ā [3] Itās a casual spot, so if youāre seeking upscale ambiance or fineādining service, it may not deliver that. Because itās in a central urban area, parking and waiting times during busy periods could be more challenging.
šÆ Verdict Crazy Johnās is a dependable, casual dining spot in Baltimore for classic American sandwiches and comfort eats. If youāre in the mood for a relaxed, noāfuss meal with friendly service, this place delivers. Expect comfort food, decent value, and a simple atmosphereānot luxury or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy downtown hotel had no restaurant and I needed a late night quick bite. This place was close, open and rated 4.1 so I placed an online order. To be on the āsafe sideā I ordered a BLT in case the Greek Wrap was a poor choice. Iāll skip the multiple tells witnessed while I waited. Back at the hotel I found the wrap was missing so I walked back. The lady at the register owned up to missing the wrap, the first item on the ticket, but went off when I asked for a receipt copy. āThatās between (me) and the head office not (her)ā. Then I made the mistake of asking her for a receipt copy. Wrap in hand, I suggested she might be happier in another line of work. Back at my room I found my BLT to be burnt, on dried out hard toast; I think you get the picture. Maybe going at 9:30 pm was the mistake. I will say the chicken and veggies in the āGreekā Wrap were fairly good, but how hard is it to make a decent BLT? Anyone giving this place more than 1.5 stars...
