New owners, but still a family owned establishment. They young people could have been a little more livelier. Greering customers as they come in, is a must for a counter diner. Also first come, first served should always be the case. But, we must have patience. Im glad I did. Overall, the food and service was good. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken wasn't overly seasoned but that allowed me to enjoy my syrup and waffles with the chicken even more. Fresh chicken and was cooked just right. The eggs were teuly sunny side up and also fresh. Bacon was cooked just right. The side of grits could have been cooked a little more with more wayer to thin them out, they were stiff. However, the shrimp and grits was bomb. Just peel all my shrimp next time. This review is honest. So Im justvsaying my experience. I would and am going back. I eat out a lot, all around. This spot is good and should only go up from here.

The first time we went it wasn’t the best, but we decided to go back again. Biggest mistake. Family, my food wasn’t cooked. They charged me for food I did not order. Now, we are back home re cooking the food. (See picture) I can not, in good faith, recommend this restaurant to family and friends. You’re better off going down the street to Greenmount and 25th. Also, the female cook is heavy handed with the salt and undercooks the food. There is good potential here, however the food quality and safety is at an all time low. Please do better. You’re in the heart of the community and a lot of people depend on you to delivery quality service AND FOOD.

I ordered delivery, so I don't know what it looks like inside. My breakfast tasted as if I cooked it. The bacon was crispy, the eggs were nice and fluffy, and the waffle was cooked perfectly. This was a very filing breakfast. No complaints at all. Will be ordering from here again and highly recommend if you're in the area or close enough to get delivery.

The owner is rude, nasty Fat guy that sits at the corner of the table harassing any, and everybody that comes into the door. About why his restaurant is the best restaurant. As I’m asking about the prices, he’s making like the goofy Jokes about my order talking about yeah we can take $.25 off. Didn’t even introduce himself as the owner. This is why I don’t come in black owned business. The food is mediocre at best. There is no menu with prices as he does this too increase prices , In a rat infested, crack, infested area. The prices as he sees fit which is unpredictable if you are a regular coming here one day you come in and a breakfast platter is $12 and another time you come in the breakfast platter is $16, … I find this disheartening being as though this is a black...
