I love beet juice and have been craving it. When I realized there was a new shop in the neighborhood I was excited that I could pick up some beet juice when I pick my son up from the train station in the mornings. Needless to say the shop was closed every time I went. Well I happen to call one day and the owner stated she just arrived and is open for business. I arrived and was greeted with a warm smile and apologies for staffing issues. As a small business owner myself I certainly understand personnel issues. First encountered Nourish Organics at the Mount Washington Farmers Market. I honestly loved when the generator started acting up and the blenders stopped working. It was through that obstacle that I was able to see Erica and her team troubleshoot, problem solve, and smile through the ordeal instead of just shutting down. That speaks volumes about the business that Erica has birthed and the atmosphere of joy that she has worked elegantly to curate. Met Erica, the owner, this morning when my colleagues and I walked over to the shop for some breakfast smoothies. She was very personable and all of the smoothies we ordered were delicious! I had the Beet & Berry Smoothie and it was the right balance of sweet and earthiness; very tasty. Also shout out for the cream cheese pound cake with lemon icing - I inhaled that slice. The pound cake itself was so tender with a fantastic tight crumb and the icing was delightfully sweet and subtly lemony. Will absolutely be back to try more...
