Finding a good Chinese takeout spot can be a bit of a challenge. However, Sun Hing Chinese Takeout on Light Street managed to pleasantly surprise me with their flavorful dishes and friendly service. In a neighborhood filled with average options, Sun Hing offers a decent alternative for those seeking a taste of Chinese cuisine. At first glance, the exterior of Sun Hing might not impress you like a high-end restaurant would. However, don't be too quick to judge a book by its cover. Once inside, you'll find that the chefs work hard to create dishes that are satisfying and enjoyable. From the moment I placed my order, the staff's warm and welcoming attitude made me feel appreciated as a customer. The service was prompt and efficient, ensuring that my food was ready for pick-up in a reasonable amount of time. The highlight of my order was the Chicken Lo Mein, which offered a nice blend of flavors and textures. The noodles were cooked well, with a good balance between tenderness and firmness. The chicken was seasoned adequately and cooked decently, though it could have been a bit more tender. The vegetables, fresh and colorful, added a pleasant crunch to the dish. The sauce, while not extraordinary, was savory enough to bring the dish together. While Sun Hing Chinese Takeout on Light Street might not be the ultimate destination for Chinese cuisine, it's certainly worth a try if you're in the area and seeking a change from the usual takeout options. Give it a shot and experience the enjoyable flavors that Sun Hing has to offer.

The food was very tasty and delivery was within the estimated time. We ordered the General Tso Chicken (pretty standard), BBQ ribs (juicy), Beef Lo Mein, Moo Shi Pork, chicken wings (juicy), crab Rangoon (mostly cream cheese but tasty nonetheless), shredded beef (not what I expected but delicious) and Singapore Mei Fun. We ordered online using Q menu. They texted a link to my order and also called to make verify that I was the real cardholder, which I appreciated. Everything was so much better than I expected from a takeout place. The only dish that was spicy was the Mei Fun and that's because we selected the Extra Spicy option. The only con was that we ordered lo Mein noodle substitute (+$3) in the Mei Fun but they didn't substitute it. We ordered quite a bit of food and it was all still hot when it arrived. I would order from Sun Hing again.

I've ordered takeout from here twice now, and I've been happy both times. I ordered the lunch special chicken with garlic sauce, and I got it medium spicy, and it's exactly the spice level I'd expect. The sauce is a little tangy, and it comes with chicken, snow peas, broccoli, carrots, baby corn, green bell pepper, and water chestnuts. Since it's the lunch special, it came with a couple scoops of rice and a side of soup or a can of soda. I went with the egg drop soup, and it's pretty good. I also ordered steamed pork dumplings. They're very good! The dumpling is a thicker dough, and the dipping sauce is on the sweeter side.
