One-of-its kind Indo-American restaurant with great owners and wonderful staff! I recently hosted my baby shower at Tamber's and cannot say enough good things about this place and people. From Day 1, Harry and Ashu (the owners) were so polite, accommodating, and helpful at each step from planning to execution. I was quite nervous about hosting a baby shower before I zeroed in on this place and met with the owners. Right from the beginning Harry and Ashu assured us the best services at best prices and made it all seamless for us accommodating all our dietary and non-dietary requests. They and their staff did all the heavy lifting from beautiful baby-girl themed decoration, seating arrangements, serving hot delicious food, drinks and music. All we had to do was dress up and enjoy ourselves. The ambience was relaxing and the small kids had a lot of fun due to ample space to run around. In the end, everyone had a great time and made memories for a lifetime. A big shout out to Harry And Ashu and their staff especially Mr. Morrisson!! Highly recommend this place that offers a unique blend of Indo-American food for events. Definitely my go-to place for the next party. Thank you so much for such an amazing experience!! Friday night, I ordered samosas and palak paneer for my family. We love samosas and palak paneer from Tambers, having ordered it many times before. While the samosas were perfect as always, the palak paneer was awful. The taste was intolerable and we all could not finish the dish. Understanding that this was uncharacteristic of Tambers and maybe it was just a bad batch, I called them to ask if we could get a replacement meal and that I would bring back the original palak paneer. The owner was rude, obnoxious, and OFFENSIVE to say the least. He said, "It will not taste like chicken wings or fish!" Then he proceeded to scold me about the health benefits of eating vegatarian meals. First, my family and I ARE VEGETARIANS and we all understand that a spinach-based dish would not taste like chicken or fish. Second, we have patronized Tambers for years because of their vegatarian options, especially the palak paneer which we LOVE and have only eaten from Tambers. We were unjustly profiled and that is UNACCEPTABLE. My family and I were completely taken aback with the conduct of the owner, who ended the conversation with, "If you don't like it, don't eat it!" We will NEVER patronize Tambers...

Because I live in the area, I have gotten takeout from this spot many many times. The staff on the takeout side are always efficient and kind.

Today was my first time going in-person. The restaurant was clean, the service was good, and the food was amazing. After being there in-person, I can confidently say you will have plenty of sauce and your rice WILL be the perfect texture, whether you're ordering-in or dining in-house. I went with a group for my first time in-person, my favorite thing is that there are options that can accommodate so many different diets. I will say, I primarily order from their Indian menu because I love their wide range of paneer options, but some other members of my party ordered from the American diner menu and were very happy with their food. One tip: if you like your food spicy, ask for spicy. Their standard items are flavorful, but the default...

An Indian Restaurant with western ambience. We thought of trying some Indian cuisine nearby JHU Homewood campus. We found this restaurant just behind Marylander apartments. Due to labour Day many restaurants were not in service. We decided to go here and ordered some Indian food. 1. Veg pakoda 2. Paneer Jalfarezi 3. Malai Kofta 4. Garlic Naan 5. Beverages We found that veg pakoda was over fried. Malai kofta curry was made of tomato puri compare to cream and cashew. In Paneer Jalfarezi all veggies were not properly cooked maybe due to they serve this kind of food only. Btw rice was complementary with curry. But overall we found this restaurant not too good as expected. Well you guys can try and give your honest review.
