Had a horrible experience here tonight. Placed my order at 5:06pm of a large sandwich and a pizza. The food was ready at 5:50 PM. No big deal on the wait time as we have had to wait plenty of times here before. When the food got home, which is just by Broadway Park, the sandwich was a bit soggy. I imagine they made the sandwich long before the pizza was ready. I probably would have been OK with it, had it been the correct sandwich (just missing the ham and cheese). I brought the sandwich back and asked for them to make it correctly and to refund the sandwich for the inconvenience. I showed him the order on my phone, which shows that it was a ham and cheese. He glanced at it, but clearly did not read it as he then asked me if I had ordered him and cheese on the sandwich when I placed the order. I said, "yes that's what I showed you" and held up my phone again to show him that it was there. He double checked the computer, which again showed what was ordered. No "I'm sorry" or "my bad." Only "ok yeah that's what you ordered." He went to refund the sandwich and tried to give me eight dollars and some change however when I added it up, it was around $10.75 without taxes. After I brought up the fact that he gave the incorrect amount, he asked me if I ordered extra of everything. I told him I wasn't sure if it was extra but that I just checked the boxes. He told me that the sandwich already came with that stuff on it and that I ordered extra toppings. I said, "either way I paid for more than what was refunded." Again, no "sorry about that" only "yeah I'm getting you your money." He finally gave me the correct amount. Mind you, I'm getting mild annoyance/attitude from him the entire time. Ok fine. After the sandwich was made, he just tossed it on the counter. Didn't tell me it was mine or even look at me to indicate that it was mine. I asked him if it was my sandwich. He said yes. After all of that, I said, "wow ok thanks for letting me know." I started walking out and he says, "being rude will get you nowhere." I walked right back through that door and said, "excuse me? You were the one giving me attitude and not paying attention after I gave you the correct information and then didn't even tell me that the sandwich you tossed on the counter was mine. But I'm rude?" He had the audacity to tell ME to leave after how rude he was. This place has gone downhill and we most definitely won't be back after coming here for many,...
Ā Ā Ā Read more10/10/22 nothing about this review is accurate any longer, thanks for remaining the best place around (by far) š
Wow that felt like a completely different place. The friendly old school pizza joint vibe that I grew up knowing was completely absent. Iām one of those people that doesnāt ever do this because generally I donāt care enough but if I do leave a review then something went very wrong. First I called and was put on hold for 10 minutes with no return so I decided to try again in a bit. I totally understand stuff happens (if that was the truly the case and not just indifference, after my visit Iām not so sure), so no problem I called back and got my order through. Not even the slightest smile nor word of welcoming was murmured by the cashier, no hello or goodbye or have a good night or anything similar. Nothing. I think that wearing a beanie and playing crass rap music loud enough for me to hear in the front was unprofessional also. Iām not a middle aged āKarenā as they call it looking for anything to complain about, Iām 23 and if even I noticed it then I think that speaks volumes. I felt like it was a place back in Boston or New York where you can get away with more of a cavalier demeanor. But this is Bangor, and I worry that a lot of our fears of our favorite pizza place changing due to new ownership is coming true. The pizza was excellent as always but thatās not enough for me to overlook a potential increasingly unwelcoming atmosphere. Perhaps this was a fluke, I hope so because I intend on continuing to patronize you guys. Please donāt mess with a proven formula...
