I typically don’t leave reviews, but this one is a must. On Black Friday, I was working a very long shift in retail. I had left work around 7:40pm and decided to stop at Starbucks in Lake Delton to get a pick me up drink. I got in the drive through line at 7:50pm. There were multiple cars ahead of me. I finally got to the ordering screen at 8:01pm only to be told that they wouldn’t take my order because it’s after 8pm. Then I heard the drive through worker tell the vehicle behind me that the workers are “very tired after working 6 hours”. Their drive through doesn’t have a way for cars to exit so once you’re in line, you have to wait for everyone in front of you to exit. So I got to sit in the line of cars who were getting their orders. I didn’t get out of the drive through until 8:15pm…
Now back to Baraboo Starbucks. I decided to stop to get my drink that I was going to order on Black Friday night. I asked the drive through worker if employees of the Baraboo Starbucks work closely to the Lake Delton Starbucks. The employee said yes. Then I inquired what the policy and procedure was for closing drive throughs. I then explained what happened on Black Friday night and that I wanted to contact the Lake Delton store but I didn’t want to be viewed as a “Karen”. The employee said “I’m very sorry about what happened. We will cover your drink.” I begged her to still let me pay because it wasn’t Baraboo’s issue or fault. But she insisted. Once I got up to the window, there was this VERY nice girl named Autumn. I asked her again to let me pay for my drink because I was going to pay on Black Friday anyways. She still refused. Autumn then handed me my drink and apologized again. Then I asked whose call it was for the free drink and she said “Mine.” I thanked her over and over again for fixing a mistake/issue that wasn’t hers or the Baraboo store to begin with.
Autumn, and the staff, thank you again for your kindness and understanding! I have been having a rough week and you totally lifted my spirits! I really hope this review makes it back...
Read moreI hope someone from the management reads this review. Staff is great, everyone is polite, saying sorry for the wait, making orders properly. I’ve been to this location at least 20 times since it opened (right now it’s 11/12/23) so that’s my general impression about staff. Now why do people wait so long? Something the management should work on. Maybe you should hire more people, maybe work on the ways to optimize efficiency somehow. There were times I waited really long and watched the cashier just staying there waiting and being a bit under stress as the line piled up more and more. Maybe the cashier could help out but again if their role responsibilities aren’t about making coffee they shouldn’t. I do not know what do you pay but I believe people should be compensated fairly too if they are multitasking. Starbucks is a very popular location yet even after a month it has been open you guys struggle a bit with having some snacks/sandwiches available. Are you afraid to order more because it might get bad? Analyze what people order the most and PLEASE make sure you always have that. If you have to send your night staff home with a couple of extra sandwiches you won’t loose a business but you might loose a customer who’s been waiting in line plus didn’t get the food because you’re constantly out of it. Another thing- ice in cold drinks. You gotta make sure all of your staff is on the same page about what “light ice” means and what is a fair amount of ice in the drink. This is my personal experience about this particular location because on different occasions same drinks had different...
Read moreShift Leader James is EXTREMELY rude and seems to always have a bad attitude, which, to be honest makes or breaks my whole starbucks experience. I was a former employee and quit due to poor management and communication skills, but I also I know how big they are at connecting with people and being in the moment. Its literally part of the training! To be honest his sour diva bad "I'm better" attitude sets me up for a not so good experience and start to my day EVERY time. I now am a customer who comes thru at last 2 to 3 times a week. I ordered a sandwich and it was so hard and overdone I could not even eat it, and the chicken was like rubber! I asked for the fully precooked sandwich to be given to me in the package so I could warm it at home myself and he flat up refused when this has been done for me more than once at more than one Starbucks location and there was no issue with this until James made it an issue! Please promote Douglas. Much better personality and customer service. He even remembers my order! He always...
