Someone recommended this place as having the best wings while on a boat tour. We decided to go check it out because we love wings.
We got in and the atmosphere was cute. It is an old railroad car. It was also situated right next to the railroad which helped with the ambiance.
The waiter came over and took our drink order. We all ordered waters with lemon but one came with an orange? We didn’t really notice until toward the end of our order, which we were already fed up about but we’ll get to that later. (We don’t drink liquids until closer to the end of our meal)
Next our food, we ordered the buffalo chicken dip which was probably the best thing we had. My mom ordered and wing and rib combo, I ordered wings and macaroni salad (turned potato salad), my cousin ordered a crispy buffalo chicken sandwich.
The wings were solid. I would not say they are the best. I had sweet chili and old bay sauce on the side. The sweet chili was a basic sauce which can be found at other restaurants which is fine because I enjoy that type. The old bay was different and unique but not a sauce I would choose for all of my wings to be. The wings were very crispy. The blue cheese was not my fave. It was very chunky and thick which made it hard to dip my wings in. The night before we had wings which were 100% better.
The ribs were decent.
The macaroni salad is up in the air because when he didn’t bring it to the table I asked where it was and he went to the back just to find out that they were sold out of it. I ordered potato salad instead but it was very dry and not flavorful.
My cousins sandwich was not good at all:
The chicken was not sauced well. When my cousin approached the lady at the hostess stand, the lady’s rebuttal was that my cousin should have asked for it ‘wet’. Now, my thing is is that the wings tell you the styles you can order them in. The chicken sandwich did not. If it did, then we would have ordered it that way. I don’t think anyone would expect for a buffalo chicken crispy sandwich to barely have buffalo sauce. It just doesn’t make sense. Her response was very dismissive.
The bun was not toasted so it soaked up the little bit of sauce that was on the chicken. One sandwich comes with a toasted bun but the buffalo chicken doesn’t? The lady’s response was that it’s too much to toast everything (girl…) and that we should have asked (fair - it just not the norm for us to come across a sandwich at a restaurant that doesn’t have a toasted bun).
She wasn’t trying to be hospitable at all about our concerns but whatever.
Our waiter overall did not seem interested in his experience with us. He also wasn’t knowledgeable about the menu. No one is asking him to know everything on the menu but offer alternatives or suggestions. We asked him about a dish and he just said he didn’t know because he never had it…fine just give an alternative or something. Also, when he brought my potato salad to the table, he put the plate over stuff on the table. He didn’t make an effort to help make room on the table as we were eating.
Overall, I would not recommend for anything other than the dip and the wings but...

I was fortunate enough to be invited to this place by a friend and I hope to come back whenever I'm in the area. Just come on in and wait for the hostess at the front to seat you. During the most popular weekend on the Cape, there was no wait during late lunch/early dinner.
The Atmosphere: This is a sports bar. Those not familiar with what that means... it means noise, more men than women, TV's with sports everywhere, and free flowing beer. If you are looking for a good time, good food, catch the game or bring a group this is the place. If you are looking for an intimate dinner, to celebrate a special occasion, or for a quiet setting, look else where or get the food to go.
The Food: I cannot comment on the majority of their menu, but the wings, fries and sides were out of this world. Wings you have maybe 10-15 different options (Some options are: Lemon Pepper, Lemon Pepper Garlic, Garlic Parmesan, Golden, BBQ, Honey BBQ, Cajun, Regular, Thai Peanut Butter & Jelly). We tried the Lemon Pepper Garlic, Honey BBQ, Cajun and Habanero Hell (their spiciest wings). We loved all those flavors the buttery sauce for Lemon Pepper Garlic was my favorite however and I would bathe in this sauce. We tried boneless wings and to my taste they were a bit dry, but the regular bone-in wings were juicy. Their bone-in wings are really well done, the outside is crispy, the inside is juicy, tender and well cooked and the meat is fall-off-the-bone. Their wings come with giant celery segments (most places only use the inner more tender celery sticks, but they used the outside stalks as well which are tougher and more flavorful) which I was pleasantly surprised with. Their spiciest wings were tough to get down and certainly proved a worth adversary, however the habanero sauce was acid/vinegar-based so while it scorched your mouth in the moment, the burning would stop after 7-15 minutes (a positive to some, a negative to others, depends if you enjoy a spicy meal).
The Staff: The waitress that hosted us was very knowledgeable, gave good recommendations, was professional and friendly. I enjoyed the service and have nothing but good things to say.
The Price: Very reasonably priced. Think typical bar prices. My friend paid the tab, so unfortunately I cannot discuss prices in details. I think for 2 people with drinks and 4-5 orders of wings it came out to maybe under $40-50
The Area: Just off main street, expect to sit in one-lane crawl traffic during peak hours/peak season. There was no problem with parking and we were able to park as soon as we pulled into the lot. The are more businesses attached to DJ's so there's...
Read moreMy love and I spent one night in a hotel in Yarmouth Port before heading to North Dennis to spend extended time with family. DJ’s was one of the two places the guy at our front desk suggested and we couldn’t be happier that we landed in DJ’s! Our experience was a TEN! DJ’s was EXACTLY what we were looking for after a long day of travel! We started with a medium order of “hurt me” original style wings with a side of blue cheese. The wings were perfect! Just how I like them. We devoured them like we hadn’t eaten in days. The minute I saw that the blue cheese was homemade and is an additional price I knew it was going to be good! It’s KILLER! It’s thick and chunky and delicious! Another bonus is that they have 22 ounce drafts. Yes please! In the midst gobbling wings, sipping draft beer, and high five’ing each other the manager stopped by our table to see how we were doing. We told him we couldn’t be doing any better, but we were wrong. He dropped some DJ’s swag on us which was sweet! NOW we couldn’t be doing any better. We bragged about our DJ’s experience and featured our new DJ’s koozies all week! If forget his name but thanks so much!!!!! We asked him about the habanero hell buffalo sauce so he brought us a side of some. It’s super yummy. We dipped everything that wasn’t bolted down in that and the blue cheese. We also ordered the Greek salad with blue cheese (duh!), the grilled chicken salad with Parmesan peppercorn dressing, and sweet potato fries (yum!!!). It was all terrific!
Even in the car traveling back home 10 days later we are STILL talking about DJ’s and how awesome our experience was. That conversation prompted me to look up the menu to remember the name of the hot sauce. That’s when I stumbled across the reviews section. You can sort them by topic which is fun! I see that ‘blue cheese’ is one of the sortable topics and considering that the it was pretty much the best blue cheese on the planet I selected that. We didn’t get past the first review that popped up. Janay, whoever you are, I need to thank you for providing us with close to 25 minutes of hilarity during our drive. Stop complaining about everything and maybe you’ll actually start enjoying life.
I can’t wait to come back!!! ...
