UPDATE 8.19.23: We came back for a second go around and boy are we glad we did. It was a busy night and the kitchen was a smidge backed up but that did not deter from the amazing experience we had. My husband had the Bone-in Pork Chop again and it did not disappoint. He usually gets a doggie bag when we go out but his plate was wiped clean tonight. I had the Salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The sauce/gravy that accompanies it with the potatoes, green beans and tomatoes was so delectable. I sopped up any extra gravy with my bread. We accompanied our meals with the Blueberry Mule & the Strawberry Rose Fizz. Margaret served us this evening and she was excellent. She gave us water right away and after we ordered and she brought our drinks, she let us know the kitchen was a little backed up. She continued to check on us and provided exceptional service. I've updated my review to reflect my most recent experience and I'm sure the experiences that will come in the future. (Pics from this visit)
The food was amazing and the chef deserves 5 stars. I had the Al Pastor Cauliflower Taco on the vegan menu & my husband got the pork chop. The tacos were full of flavor and the pork chop was thick and juicy. The live music was such a pleasant surprise & the performer was extremely enjoyable. They only got 3 stars because of the service. Nicole M. only approached our table twice, once to take the order and once at the end to give the bill. I finished my delicious Strawberry Rosé Fizz after enjoying our calamari appetizer but Nicole never asked if I wanted another drink. We watched her continue to check on the table she had directly across from us, walk completely by us even though we tried to make eye contact, and proceeded to check on another table. This restaurant is definitely worth the visit for the food and atmosphere. Also the other servers seemed super attentive to their tables. Im not sure if our server was new or distracted but it was super disappointing when everything else was...
Read moreNot overall impressed. We are moving to Barrington, RI so we decided to try to find a nice place to go eat and have drinks locally. When we arrived we sat ourselves at the bar with no acknowledgment or welcome. We sat down, the bartender literally THREW two menus at us no hello or even eye contact and walked away. It was a Wednesday night, not very busy. She finally came over to us several minutes later and offered us a drink. We planned on eating dinner and having a few drinks but we left it to one drink and an appetizer to see if maybe it would get better, it did not. We left, and won't be back. Barrington doesn't have too many options for dining but we would rather travel into Seekonk or Bristol where we would receive better service. Appetizer (hawaiian pizza) was good, menu looked great, place is clean and beautiful, service was horrible. The what it looked to be Manager, was going around talking with all of the "regulars", in which we very likely could have become, and walked by us four times without a single acknowledgement. Three other guests walked in at the time we were there and received the most warming welcome with their drinks flying over to them before they could even sit. Very disappointing and they've lost out on new potential three times a...
Read moreI wish I could partially recommend a place. I am not one to leave bad reviews however the ignorance we received on 7/27 is beyond unacceptable. Our server was very clearly on the lackadaisical side. Normally, no worries, however when you have someone with celiac disease you are always cautious. The server assured us the menu offered “so many gluten free options and not to worry” so we ordered asking multiple times if particular items could be made gluten free. She said yes and put in our order. Our food was dropped by Patrick who I then asked for reassurance if both dishes we asked to be GF were in fact gluten free because I wasn’t a fan of the server’s lackadaisical personality. He went back to Chef Cara and a taller man behind the line and double checked. The pork chop was in fact NOT gluten free nor was it even marked on the ticket to be made gluten free. A mistake like this would have sent my brother to the hospital and killed someone like my mom who is an extreme celiac. While the meals we ate were yummy and we are EXTREMELY thankful for people like Patrick and Cara. The server we had should absolutely not be working in the industry if they can’t take a gluten allergy seriously or even bother...
