We stopped by Chomp on Friday evening around 6 PM to grab some food. As expected for a Friday night, there was about an hour wait. While waiting, I decided to walk over and grab a coffee. Thatâs when I noticed the banana bread chocolate chip muffins. I had one heated up, and wowâit was absolutely delicious. Honestly, the best muffin Iâve had in a long time.
The two workers were really friendly and mentioned they had just pulled out some blueberry muffins and more banana bread chocolate chip muffins were baking. They even hinted I could come back later with my family after we ate, and there would still be fresh muffins available.
Sure enough, after we finished dinner, we went back around 7:16 PMâbut to our surprise, they told us the muffins were no longer available. They had decided to cover them up and save them for the next day. That was pretty disappointing, especially since they had just told me theyâd be available later.
From my experience in sales, selling something now is better than saving it for tomorrowâespecially when the product is freshly made and sitting right there. Even if one breaks while being removed, most of us wonât care. Itâs the taste and...
Read moreWhile this cute little cafe is a little bit out of the way, it certainly makes up for it with a great view of the Warren waterfront and its delicious crepes. In the winter they have a covered & heated deck where one can relax and enjoy their crepe and chai (my personal favourites) while the snow falls quietly outside. In the summer, the back deck is opened up where the sunlight is plentiful and has a beautiful view of the waterfront. The baristas are very friendly and there is a very wide selection of different foods and drinks to be chosen from. I can't say I have anything bad to say about this little hidden treasure! Maybe just the parking lot itself, shared with Trafford's Restaurant across the way. The shell-covered parking lot is riddled with deep potholes so do be weary of those. Aside from that, please do go visit! I promise you that you will not be...
Read moreThe people posting about the owner at 100% correct! He is creepy and unkind to/impatient with his workers. I worked here as a young woman in my early-mid 20s and the owner honestly was always putting me down or making some joke at my expense. Sad because his brother who helps with the business is really great, but the owner himself is tough to be around. However, Cafe Water Street does serve great coffee - they get beans from Coastal Roasters in Tiverton and I would highly recommend the coffee. Itâs just tough that you never know what the experience is going to be when you go there. My family went there at times when I wasnât working and their experience was sub par because of the unfriendly service, not the food or coffee itself. Cafe Water Street is a cute place and in Warren, itâs a unique spot. Itâs sad to see that the ownerâs presence is still...
