Burger King — Restaurant in Barstow

On Dec 5, 2018, we were tempted by the BK Whopper .99 app to order from 600 ft near a McDonalds location. The app was interesting and worked quite well until it asked for a credit card. I have not eaten at a BK in over 40 years and my wife never. I refused to continue with credit card info. We did drive to Barstow BK at 2580 High Point Pkwy.

We paid cash and received our two Whoppers, one Veggie burger and fries without the app offer. We did announce to the staff that the advert brought us to BK after Forty years. Staff shouted to the person in preparation "Make it Special, it's 40 years since last at BK. In The Whopper was disappointing. Dry Patty, limited lettuce, insufficiently covering of mayo and ketchup and items not layered properly to enhance flavor. Large fry was inadequate in quantity. Veggie burger was dry condiments poorly applied.

Disappointing for a "Make it Special" order. No reason to return.

Went through the drive thru at 6am. Sat there 5 minutes & nobody asked for my order. Drove to the window & sat there ANOTHER 5 minutes & nobody came to the window. They're supposed to open at 6am & there was a white car & a dark car in the parking lot & I assume they were the employees. Finally decided to go to Starbucks & get breakfast. Guess Burger King didn't want my money. Thought it was rude of them not to come to the window or answer the drive thru. Bad customer service. A simple "sorry we're running late" would have been better than being ignored. Update: 3/28/23 went this morning at 6am thru the drive thru & at the speaker a recording announce " we are sorry, we are not open". So that's an improvement! Went to the front door & read the hours on the door that they opened at 6am & the DOORS WERE LOCKED. Seen workers inside. Store was closed. Went to Carl's Jr. Instead & received...

On more than one occasion I have pulled up and all the exterior lights have been off. Including the drive-thru menu. On my most recent visit I was met with extreme short responses to my ordering. I was told to wait out front for my order. I waited for a good 10 minutes at least. The girl who took my order also brought my food out to me and apologized for the delay. That my food was made fresh is why I waited so long. Upon getting home, not only am I missing several items I ordered a d all of it was cold and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. The bacon on my budget was raw. But, I did not receive a receipt to check either. That's my fault for not making sure i got one. If you go....
