Ok so letâs start out with CLARITY thereâs a fine line between customer service and basically over charging people I literally asked about the all you can eat spaghetti which I have to admit was good flavor filled and fresh! No complaints there! Where my complaint starts is I asked about the portion size like was it big small or what because thereâs two options only $2.20 apart one is all you can eat the other is the normal meal I asked her for the AYCE because she said the portions was decent I said ok well when she brought it out I knew I wasnât gonna eat anymore and basically said âdamn thatâs quite a bitâ she laughed and walked off only to check with me 24 minutes later just to lay down the bill I then explained to her I didnât want anymore due to how big the portion size was that I couldnât eat anymore I was then told she wasnât going to change the price and that she wasnât gonna argue with me the amount of entitlement that came with it was what made me upset and what gave me the cause to make this post! I could understand if I got more but I didnât the portion sizes are identical and they come with the exact same thing a drink cheese and garlic bread! So I donât understand what the big deal was with changing it to the one where it was $2.20 cheaper I understand people here in California feel a large amount of entitlement but it just hurts business! My recent visit to Denny's Restaurant at the Flying J in Barstow, CA, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we were seated, Felipe, our server, demonstrated impeccable communication skills and a genuine dedication to ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. His attention to detail, especially regarding our food preferences, truly enhanced our meal.
For breakfast, I indulged in the T-Bone Steak breakfast with eggs and hash browns, while my wife opted for the T-Bone Steak dinner. Having dined at various Denny's locations across the country during our travels, I can confidently say that the steak we ordered surpassed all expectations. Cooked to perfection and expertly seasoned, it was undoubtedly one of the best steaks we've ever tasted.
Behind the scenes, Timothy, the cook, deserves immense praise for his culinary prowess. His skillful preparation truly elevated our dining experience, setting a new standard for excellence. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to him for consistently delivering such delicious fare.

This was by far one of the BEST dining experiences I have ever had! Take my word for it people, as I too was once a server at a Dennyâs Location for 10 yearsâŠso I know what Iâm looking for when it comes to a proper Dennyâs dining experience. Clear down to his suggestions on beverages, appetizers, even asked if we would like to add toppings for the T-bone mushroom onions, or toast or tortillas to our skillets etc. He was a delight!
Our appetizer arrived ahead of time, which I was very pleased with! Followed by the rest of our order, all on POINT! I had the Santa Fe skillet, and I took Felipe up on his suggestion of adding some toast to it. The food was Fantastic!
Would also like to give a shout out to the cooks as well, for how QUICK our order came out..even with it being busy!
