Smokin Hot BBQ — Restaurant in Bartlett

Dropped by for lunch during work, wanted something to eat that I could eat in the car if I had to. Was stuck trying to decide ribs or nachos. Owner or manager(I think) told me he just had a great batch of ribs come off the smoker. I said what the heck, let me try your ribs. Those were either the very best I've ever had in this town, or the second best(Sling Shot Charlie's right up there). Smokin Hot also has some amazing bbq sauce but I felt it took away from the smokiness and overall superior flavor of the ribs. This is competition cooked ribs. I have not tried anything else on the menu but looking at the pictures are making me drool. Little things like putting brisket in your beans are going to be the things that set you apart. Drive Thru only location. Someone spoke as soon as I pulled up and said you give them a second. Someone came out shortly and took my order. Food was ready after a short wait. Ordered the chicken nachos with tangy hot BBQ sauce and jalapenos. I was not disappointed. I have been looking for another place that has good BBQ nachos and I have found it. Everything was hot. The nachos were like $16 with tax but it's easily enough for two, maybe 3 people. The spice level is just right. I'll definitely be back to try...

Brand new drive through bbq pit stop. Some fair weather seating. Long Shredded style sandwich with beans and potato salad for me today. Tried their basic sauce for starting out, they also have a honey gold and a hot & tangy. Good enough for me to come back and sample the ribs, brisket, smoked wings, smoked sausage and bbq cabbage.
