11/6/24 UPDATE… I originally posted photos and left a 5 star rating and review here (original review below) but, unfortunately, that isn’t the case now at all. For some reason this place feels like it’s really gone down hill and I’m not sure why. Inside the cafe area is so barren now, there’s hardly any food or beverage or snack choices on the counter or in the fridge anymore. It looks totally different than my original photos. I also got stuck in the bathroom for over 30 mins with no toilet paper. Tried to call the cafe over 10 times to get someone to come help me and no one answered the phone and a voicemail couldn’t be left either. I finally just started yelling for help (embarrassing) but what else was I suppose to do? Someone finally came and they went to get TP for me from one of the other two stalls and BOTH of them were out too. Absolutely no TP in the bathroom at all. This place just feels very neglected and poorly kept. The food is lackluster at best, sadly. I have no desire to return again at this point. The cutest little cafe (located inside the Bastrop Fitness Project building), and one of the best bagels and smoothies ever!! Such a cute fun aesthetic and a lot of variety of food, drink and snack options! So fun!

This place is cute and has a lot of potential. But whoever now owns Bastrop Cafe is cheaping out on labor. They have 1 girl working both front and back of house. It took 45 minutes+ to get a smoothie, a chai latte, a premade muffin, and a piece of toast. There was a women in the lobby/dining tables when we arrived around 11am waiting for her food. I ordered. About 10 minutes later 6 people walked in all around the same time to order. The poor girl behind the counter was doing her best trying to make stuff and take orders, but she needed help. She was doing food prep, smoothie making, barista, taking orders, and cashier. Whoever is managing or owns this place should be working on the weekends. The food was pretty good, but the avocado toast was literally a standard piece of wheat bread with some toppings and took over 30 minutes to make. The food and drinks were good enough, if it didn’t take 45 minutes I would have left a good review. Service was horrible and it really WAS NOT the girls fault, she did her best in a very overwhelming position with a line of 8+ people alone only 30 minutes before closing. It’s whoever is managing/owners, do better.

I found out about Tracy’s Outpost when I went to Tracy’s Drive-In for coffee and decided to give them a try. Loved the atmosphere, with the big windows and natural light. Looks like a good place to get some work done or read a book. Coffee was tasty their Iced Thunder is like Tracy’s Drive-In’s Iced Lightning. They also have smoothies! I tried a Go-Getter - cold brew, bananas, almond butter, cinnamon, coco nibs, and chocolate protein - after I tried a class at Strive gym. I came back to try a Green Machine - spinach, kale, mango, ginger, lemon, with coconut water and OJ. Both delicious. Liked the fact that they had different supplements to add for a post-workout smoothie like creatine, vegan-protein, collagen. Will definitely come back as the weather cools for hot coffee and after workout smoothies.

VERY MISLEADING/ INACCURATE FOOD PICTURES. Came here thinking it was an open cafe but it’s a cafe in a gym so there were no people there. I ordered a latte with extra shot of espresso & shot of vanilla syrup & the coffee tasted horrible. I had to ask the attendant to add more milk, syrup & added about 10 packets of white sugar & it still tasted disgusting. Paid close to $7. Also, I came here because the pics of the wraps looked fresh so when I ordered one the attendant pointed to the fridge section & I saw them wrapped up in plastic, who know how long they’ve been there. Nasty. And they don’t warm them up. Weird. Like how hard is it to make a fresh turkey wrap with lettuce tomato. Don’t come here. It’s misleading. You’re better off going to the Starbucks near. At least they serve great coffee & warm food and options. Also, side note, as I was coming in, I saw to FULL cups of frappes just sitting at a table outside. Someone had left them there. Probably tasted bad too and walked away. Not sure, but that was random. Attendant seemed bothered that I had to ask for more milk, cinnamon & syrup but truly I tell you, it’s the worst coffee I’ve had & I...
