Budget Inn — Hotel in Bastrop

Very horrible experience the shower was cold water only and half worked because the faucete half worked also. The bed spred had a big yellow stane on it No phone the towels stunk and where small. Also guy at the front desk was very rude to me when I ask for 2 rolls of toilet paper and only got 1 because the room only came with 1 hole roll and one third roll to use. I will never stay here again this place needs to be shut down. I did see the broken window with tape on it come on just fix the window and redo the rooms vs using plywood from Lowe's or Home Depot to use at a headboard. The plywood that use as the so called desk was nasty and stained also along with little plywood shelvel tacked to the wall was stained and nasty. I sorry to say, but i have a negative review, even tho the employees, were nice and helpful when asked questions, but the rooms were poorly taken care of, I stayed in 2 different rooms on 2 different occasions and suffered the same experience both times, waking up to 15+ bug bites from sleeping in the bed in the room, very dissatisfied with this experience and makes me automatically have to have a bad say so on the hotel. I wouldnt even give it 1 start because how disappointed I was with the unhygienic rooms and bed, bugs crawling all over floor, I ended up checking out the 2nd time I stayed, in the middle of night, because I did not believe the environment was clean enough for my 2 month old son to stay in. The Budget Inn of Bastrop is truly a hidden gem. My room is very comfortable and well appointed. I have a microwave oven, and a gas range with four burners and a full size oven. The kitchenette has a sink and a full size refrigerator. The television is large, and it has basic cable. The bed is new and well made. Electrical outlets are thoughtfully placed, and the ones in the bathroom have GFI. There is complementary and secure WiFi. The Inn is three short blocks from the County Court House and the downtown entertainment/shopping district. The Riverwalk is also close by. The proprietor lives on site with his family.
