Weary of the upscale, high dollar Mexican restaurants in Austin that have largely replaced the beloved TexMex standbys of years past, we drove to Bastrop on a hunt for the TexMex comfort food we craved. At El Corral Lozano, we found it! Yum! ¡La comida es muy muy rica! Everything from the chips and salsa, the cheese enchilada plate, and the fresh hot corn tortillas to the chile relleno, chicken flautas, Mexican Coke, and horchata were delicious. Our server, Lorna, was terrific, too. We will be back! Thank you for being exactly what we were looking for!

Place has really good food. I order two barbacoa tacos with cilantro and onions and a coffee to go, and it was five dollars!!!! Not a bad deal. There is construction going on here as they are repaying the street and one of the streets is actually closed. Also, the restroom is not all that great. One toilet serves as both services.

The food is great, the service is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. Every plate, every taco I have ordered, has been delicious. I am a regular customer here and highly recommend it.

I love this place! I visit from Las Vegas every year and the food is outstanding! The wait staff are hard working and very friendly. This restaurant is very accommodating to people with dietary needs. My parents come here twice a week for breakfast and lunch on Tuesday because the food is so Awsome. My favorite dish is the liver and onions but the chicken fried steak and Mexican food are the best I have have ever had. Try this place you won't be sorry with its beautiful food presentations and friendly homestyle atmosphere. Keep up the good work guys and...

If you like a no frills, plain old Mexican food joint that won't break the bank, El Corral Lozano #2 may be just what you're looking for. Hot chips and salsa to start. Hubby had the Chimichanga plate (huge!!) and I had #39 - 2 beef enchiladas and a taco. Both entrees came with beans and rice. We each had iced tea and our bill was only $22.71 + tip! We were there for an early lunch, but eying the breakfasts the other customers were eating, I think we'll make a trip back for some huevos as well. All in all, pretty good food at a fantastic price....

Everything thing below still goes. Extremely clean with friendly, helpful waitstaff. Great food at affordable prices. I've never been disappointed. I'm usually there once or twice a month. I'd probably go more often if I lived in town.

Local gem. The outside is deceiving. They aren’t fancy but if you want Authentic, hot, delicious Mexican food this is the place. Decided to try from online ratings and am glad we did! They serve breakfast all day! Good sized portions, friendly wait staff, reasonable pricing, great food.

Affordable...
