I went into the Jack in the Box to have a fast meal on Jan 25th 2016. As I sat for my meal there were two other tables that had customers.
One guy sitting by himself in camo pants and had a black back pack. I noticed he talked to the other customers and I heard him say he was hungry. I watched for awhile not sure if the two tables knew each other. It soon became clear the man in the camo pants was not with the other table. As I ate my food, i watched this man pull out a snack of some sort from his backpack take a couple bites of what looked like a honey bun , he gingerly wrapped it up and put it back in his backpack.
After I finished my meal I went to the counter and said " listen, that man over there needs some food. Can you please apply this 5.00 towards something for him to eat But please wait until I leave" The guy at the counter took the money and placed it next to the register on the left hand side of it. Then shot me a look like I was stuck on stupid. I said " Please offer it to him after I leave" I left the place and as I was leaving I sorta waited to see if anyone went to the man to offer him food I paid for.
Let me state: I don't believe in giving money to random homeless people , but no one who is just honestly hungry should not have at least a meal. I didn't want to be recognized for a random act of kindness. Nor did I want thanks for it , I just wanted a stranger who was hungry to have a meal.
I watched this same employee through the store windows , go around the service floor and passed right pass the guy. At this point I left the parking lot and went to do something down the road real fast.
But I had a funny feeling something wasn't right, I was gone from that location about 20 minutes by the time I returned !
I passed the window and saw the hungry man still sitting there with no food, I then drove through the drive threw and there was MR. YOUR STUCK ON STUPID again popping his head out the drive through window.
I asked him if the man had received the food I paid for him to have ... this snarky lil A-hole told me " NO" but he was going to do it now... Yeah right! I chose not to re enter the store afraid I would throat punch him. I do not want to go to the County Hilton for the night.
So I am leaving this review for all your customer to see. Don't believe me watch your video surveillance I was wearing a pink sweat shirt and grey pants and have a black an white stripped purse an drive a grey SUV I came while you were still had your breakfast menu up. before 11:30 a..m
You should do the right thing! and feed the people instead of pocketing the money that someone else has paid for ... certainly no Starbucks pay it forward love here.
Oh you should most likely fire the employee as well, I am sure you have other things that are missing around there.
One last thing , my curly fries " SUCKED " they were old , hard,...
Read moreThis location gets the orders wrong just about every single time & today was no different. Part of the problem is that most of the employees speak absolutely no English. I called the restaurant to notify them that they got my order wrong & what I received is not what I ordered. Beatriz told me that I would need to bring the food back to the restaurant to prove that it hadn’t been eaten in order to receive any type of credit, refund or remake. This is extremely inconsiderate & a poor solution that I have to use my time & gas to take food back that should’ve been correct in the first place! I was not rude or irate during my phone call to report the problem with my order. I asked Beatriz for the managers name, she held the phone in silence for a couple of minutes w/o responding. I asked again & she laughed & refused to give me a name as she spoke Spanish to the other workers in the background telling them that I was asking for a managers name. I ended the call & as requested I brought the food back to the restaurant & once again asked Beatriz for the managers name, & she still refused to give it stating she didn’t know the managers name. She spoke to the girl making the food in Spanish who she said was the team lead. I asked for the team leads name & she refused to give it to me claiming not to speak English. There was another female employee there who attempted to hide behind a wall in an effort to not be seen. Once I started to record my experience the non English speaking team lead went to hide behind the wall with the other employee. Beatriz still refused to tell me the managers name & no manager ever surfaced to resolve the problem. The staff @ this location KNOW that they mess up orders regularly so it boggles my mind that they give you a hard time about refunds & force customers even further inconvenience by telling us to return the food to prove that it wasn’t eaten. I spent more money driving back in fourth in gas than what I spent on my order. I also find it suspicious that in the whole restaurant they only had one staff member who could speak a little English just enough to get by. I will be reporting this location to the BBB, OAG & OIG for investigation. If you can’t understand what the customers are ordering & you’re messing up orders, the least you can do is offer to remake the order on their next visit with proof of purchase such as the...
Read moreIf I could I will give this place a minus rate . I went there yesterday afternoon Saturday, May 28, 2016. I ordered two spicy chicken sandwich with large fries and a buttery portabello burger with large fries(no curly), also 5 chicken strips. First, the person taking the order took a long time entering the order. There were two women and one man working in the kitchen. Also there was a women who seems to be the supervisor. One of the women was taking care of the window orders and the other one was taking care of my order. The man who was preparing the order could not read the screen and kept going back and for from his counter to the screen. The woman who supposed to be working my order started talking and chatting to another customer who seems to be also an employee. They were talking about personal matters and no paying attention to my order. The supervisor was also talking to the employee/customer about her hours and personal issues. The guy who was taking orders could not enter the the customer/employee order and she went inside the counter and entered her own order. Then, the guy who supposed to be taking orders was now in the kitchen putting fries and chicken strips in the fryer. He was no wearing globes. Later on, after 20 minutes one of the women put my order on the counter while she continued chatting with the customer/employee that was next to the cash register. The order was missing a chicken burger the fries were no large ands they were curly, also we were missing one of the fries orders. When I told them about the missing items and the mistake in the fries the guy who takes orders started to grab my bags and taking items and fries withot wearing globes again. I had to ask him to stop touching my food. The woman was confused and blamed him, she never addressed me, never looked at me and continue talking to the other woman. Last, the spicy chicken sandwichs were no spicy . It is also important to mention that the kitchen was disorganized and probably unsanitary. So, everything was wrong; careless attitude where the customer is not important and their job is just a place for making some money and not a place for growing and learning. This was my first time in Jack in the Box and my last one, I will never do business with them again. You are a shame...
