This is somewhere that is going to get more business from us! Stopped in for Sunday brunch this weekend and was blown away. The first thing I noticed when stepping in was how spacious it is. There is the right balance of space and tables, enough to handle the crowd but not so many to make it crowded like so many places are. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by all the staff that came by our table. I found the menu in the same manner as the dining room; clean, uncluttered, modern and not over crowded. Being Sunday brunch, "drinks" were ordered. Of course we found the typical mimosas, but there were others too, others I had not seen before. They have cranberry mimosas, raspberry mimosas, apple cider mimosas, and even a strawberry pomegranate mimosa. Which you can order as an individual brink OR you can get as a flight. Then there is the Brewmosa and Brew Punch. I started to recognize a theme when the plates were seekers to the table. Again, clean, tidy and not over crowded. We ordered the Cattlemens and Fresh Garden Frittatas and the Chorizo Migas. The eggs were soft and creamy, but not under cooked. The home fries were hot and crispy and perfectly seasoned. And the Chorizo was not over powering. The flavors were all well blended and complimentary. If I were to have one disappointment it would be that the Garden Frittata seemed a little sparse on the inside. I would have liked more of the garden ingredients. But I do realize that overloading fresh tomatoes would end up making it soggy.

As I said at the beginning, these folks are definitely getting more of my business. And they should...

Decided to take my mom for Mother's Day brunch and we were excited to finally try it out. Opened at 10 and we got sat at 1130 already out of chicken and waffles....? OK so my mom orders the brunch board..what a joke! She gets out this board that has 2 small funfetti waffles looks like they were popped into the toaster and lightly toasted, 2 strawberries, some gross cookie dough stuff and 1 piece of bacon. That is NOT A brunch board guys! I expected Belgian waffles with more than 2 strawberries when you advertise fruit and more than one piece of bacon for a side. It was super disappointing and the waffles were gross. It was embarrassing to take my mother on a special day for her to get such a lousy brunch and it cost $12! The drinks were good but food was awful. I don't think we will be back since we left brunch still hungry. Had to go home and make food which no one should have to leave a meal they bought and still be hungry. Very...

First time visit. Service was slow, but she was nice. It took a while to get our food after our appetizers were finished. No kids' meal printed, just 2 choices of grilled cheese or chicken tenders. I asked for pickles on their burger, came with 3, and we were charged for them. Why charge for pickles on a burger?? Appetizers were much smaller portions than we expected, mac and cheese wedges and fried zucchini. The only positive was the dipping sauces.

The vegetarian meatball sandwich was also on the small side. Shredded cheese on top that was not melted. We also had to ask for the fry sauce at the very end of our meal.

We were super excited to try this place, but unfortunately, it was not as good as we had hoped. Maybe we need to try other menu items. But for the price of apps, the portions really should be...

The BEST hidden gem in Bastrop. I have eaten inside a half dozen times, and ordered take out from them at least a dozen times. Food is always immaculate. Their beer & wine selection is good - really appreciate the rotating drafts that are always from local breweries. The service has always been great. I have been in the service industry for a long time now, and feel as if I can never truly enjoy a night out because I inherently critique the bars and restaurants I go to. This is quite literally the only restaurant I’ve ever been to (out of thousands) where I have no complaints about the service. Not a single one. Stem & Stone is refreshing for Bastrop. Elevated (and tasty) eats, amazing service, intimate atmosphere. You are doing yourself a disservice by not visiting this gem.

Recently enjoyed lunch at Stem & Stone. The building is very inviting with plenty if off street parking available. The interior is clean and visually pleasing, but the food and drinks are superb. We had a personal pizza and the veggie burger. Both were delicious. I must admit we enjoyed the "flights" offered. My daughter had a wine flight, so I had a beer flight. Not all the wines and beers they offer are available for flights, but both have a large selection to enjoy. The owners obviously enjoy a little whimsy as noted by the "potty dancing" signs on the bathroom doors. Overall, a delightful change of pace to relax and enjoy. If you live in the Bastrop area enjoy frequently, and if traveling through then stop in for a visit. You will enjoy.
