We've dined at this place a couple times. The first time, I LOVED their sauce selection, we enjoy wings and we love the boneless choices. The menu items are creative, sound delicious, hard to pass up a chance to try. But our past two experiences were terrible, and we won't be back.
We ate there a few months ago - the prices were so high because they charge for every additional sauce and you don't get fries with your chicken selection. So at the end of the day, you'll spend $50-$60 for two complete pub meals without alcohol. The chicken was dry and the meal wasn't great. But we gave it another try last night.
Several people in our group ordered chicken tenders - both breaded and grilled. The chicken was so dry it was difficult to chew. The breading was so crunchy, it was hard and uncomfortable to even get to the meat. The grilled fingers were so dry parts of the breast meat were literally hard enough to break in half like they were dehydrated.
On top of that, they charged $2 for the rub. They charged $3 extra for each sauce including a single sauce to go with your meal. We were told "a rub and a sauce are included in the price - then a cost for extra. But what you get are 6 dry and flavorless chicken tenders for $10 and then you pay an additional amount for ANY sauce to make them palatable. The cost of my meal was outrageous for pub food. I paid nearly $20 for my tenders and the sauce. No fries come with the meal.
My kids refused their plates because they hated the texture of the breading and the meat. I just tried to finish their leftovers and abandoned it because the chicken is like jerky.
The waitress was nice. She was attentive. I did mention to her that the chicken was surprisingly dry - she was super uncomfortable with the feedback and didn't know how to react.
I'm bummed, because without consistent quality meat, a place that specializes in wings and chicken is a waste of...
Read moreHow is this place still open? We went on a Friday night. Upon walking in, we were greeted with a sign stating they were short staffed. That should have been our queue to leave. To my regret, we stayed. They seated the three of us at a table in full view of the couples ice dancing on the TV's. Honestly, they were playing ice dancing. My daughter ordered the boneless teriyaki wings. After a couple of bites, she said it was really salty. I took a bite and got my weekly sodium intake for the week instantly. We sent it back and they said they would credit our bill. My wife then shared her wings with her and I took a bite too. They must have decided to throw them in the fryer twice for good measure. They were hard as a rock. I had the best meal (not saying much) with a hot chicken sandwich. It was a fried chicken sandwich slathered in an over the counter hot sauce. I also ordered the tall draft but they brought me the pint. I told our server and she said she would only charge me for the pint. The worst part; when it came time to pay the bill, the waitress didn't know how to print our bill from her handheld device. Wanting to get out of there, I gave her my credit card. After I paid, the bill mysteriously printed. The teriyaki wings we sent back and they said they would credit us...were only credited for the sauce. Comical. And yes, I was charged for the tall draft beer. I was so mad, but then realized complaining would do no good. We left and will not return. Zero quality control, zero training of staff, zero atmosphere. Avoid this place while you still can. It won't...
Read moreI had gone here a couple times before and food was great. Lately, it seems like the food quality has gone way down. Went with my roommate and another friend tonight. My roommate has Celiac disease and we chose this place because the offered a gluten free menu. Turns out, they have gotten rid of the gluten free menu. This was just the beginning of an evening that turned out to be a total bummer. I ordered wings with dry rub, waffle fries and a cocktail called "The Smoky Negroni". All of that was a mistake. The wings weren't event tossed in the dry rub, it looked like they had just sprinkled some of the rub on the plate and missed some of the wings completely. The waffle fries were soggy. The cocktail was AWFUL! All three of us tried it and had the same response. I politely asked the waitress to take it away and replace it with something different. The "Spicy Cougar Margarita" proved to be a much better choice.
My roommate was able to order steak fajitas with corn tortillas. Unfortunately, the plate was about 90% onions with about 4-5 small slices of steak.
Our friend, who was with us, ordered the half slab of ribs. They were likely oven baked, not smoked or grilled and the barbecue sauce they used was cold and almost flavorless.
Overall, a bad experience. I will not be going there again...
