With respect to a recent purchase of printing services through the Office Depot/OfficeMax store in Batavia, Illinois, I want to share my experience with you. I am finishing a project on a song I composed and recorded. I have several professional singer-friends who recorded the song for me. I wanted to express my appreciation for their contribution to the project, so I decided to create a poster for each of them individually to “thank” them. As I tried to discuss my poster project vision with one of your competitors, they ultimately didn’t get engaged enough to understand what my vision was and consequently, they only made suggestions as to what they wanted my Graphic Designer to redo on the artwork which they had already provided so that they (Brand X) could print it for me. I’m relatively confident my vision for this poster project wasn’t all that complicated (if complicated at all.) However, after I left Brand X, my mind set was: Hey, try another place! This (Brand X) isn’t the only printing services provider in the Fox Valley! So, I did! Last Wednesday (8/30) I entered my local Office Depot/OfficeMax in Batavia, Illinois. As I can say now, to my good fortune, Rovena was managing the Printing Services Department. Rovena immediately got 100% engaged in trying to understand my poster project vision and instead of telling me what to have my Graphic Designer “redo”, she said, “Here’s what we can do that will meet your expectations!” And she was right! Rovena came up with a suggestion that complemented the artwork I provided, and that suggestion completely met my expectation. I had to send the artwork for 20 posters to Rovena and hence told her it may take a couple of days to complete and then send to her. She said fine and noted that she was not working over the holiday weekend but would return to work today, Tuesday (9/5). I went into the store first thing this morning to advise Rovena I had mistakenly sent her one of the project's artwork twice, and then basically wanted to make sure she was empowered with everything she needed to be successful. To my surprise, she was well underway with the project already and when I walked in, although she was waiting on another customer, she didn’t miss a beat indicating that she was already working on the project. As there were a couple things I wanted to clarify with Rovena, we worked through the end of the project together at which time I knew, before I left the store, that what she had done was exactly what I wanted. Kudos to Rovena!!!! So, before I lose your attention in this communication. I just have to put in an A++ for Rovena’s customer service efforts on my order at Office Depot/OfficeMax. Thank you very much, Office Depot/OfficeMax! Howard

I walked in there to try to buy a usb modem dongle router whatever is called. The lady just pointed to the other section.i asked her if they have what I already mention and she proceeded to just tell me I don’t know what you are talking about. Various times. Instead of finding someone that could help me she just walked away. I stood in there waiting for someone to help me. Walked around and no one approached me at all. I wasn’t even greeted when I walked in. I’m not used to giving locations bad reviews

I received a PDF/JPEG from a vendor on Etsy. Well, let me tell you that threw me for a loop as I am elderly and have absolutely no computer knowledge. I took it to the Office Depot/Max in Batavia and showed a gal in the printing department named Rovena(sp) who took my phone and was able to put it on the computer and print out what I needed. What a brilliant and knowledgeable, young lady. Had a dispute with the Etsy lady because the print margins didn’t fit the frame and she had to send me a new PDF/JPEG file so I went back to the store and Rovena reprinted it, and even was able to make the photos lighter as the woman from Etsy had them so dark they weren’t even able to be seen. Any printing needs you have please bring them to OfficeMax in Batavia and be sure to ask for Rovena as she is a total gem and so knowledgeable, when it comes to printing needs, I’d give her 10 stars...

I went there planning to make 250 color copies of a fundraiser order form for a 501c3 organization, but their system was unable to verify the tax exempt number, so they would not waive the tax, even though I presented the current tax exempt certificate. The employee seemed to be completely unfamiliar with how how tax exempt organizations are run, and he lacked the critical thinking skills to find a work around when his system couldn’t verify the number. I used this same number at 2 other stores today, so I know the problem is with their system, not with the...
