I got out of work yesterday to find a box on the counter. This box had "Haylie B's Bakery" printed on it. This box contained 4 cupcakes. These cupcakes were inhaled by 1 individual in considerably less than 24 hours. That individual was me.
Based on some of the photos I see on here, my wife ordered what for Haylie, is probably rather basic. There were 2 chocolate cupcakes (one with a chocolatey frosting, the other with some divine vanilla cream kind of thing), 1 vanilla and 1 lemon one. They were all absolutely glorious. I don't typically like cupcakes because I don't typically love frosting. The frosting here was otherworldly. Not the cloyingly sweet, tasteless, hard stuff. I know these different kinds have specific names, but I'm no baker. All I know is that it was a wonderful airy, yet creamy texture that tasted of pure class. Sweetness perfectly balanced. 10/10.
The vanilla cupcake was simple, but perfectly executed. I'm not sure you can ask all that much of a basic vanilla cupcake. The lemon had the perfect amount of citrus tartness. The icing/frosting on this one melded beautifully with the cake itself.
But the chocolate...I'm a chocolate cake kind of dude, and the actual cake of these cupcakes was among the best I've ever had. My god they were good. Again, beautifully balanced. Rich, chocolate flavor. I truly can't recall having better.
I hope to find 8 cupcakes on the counter today... and every other day for the rest of my life for that matter. Along with an ozempic prescription.
This lady is a top tier baker. And should more people learn of her talent, there may be some bakeries wondering where all their customers have gone in the near future. Bizarrely good. Wish this business the very best. Take...
Read moreI truly appreciate a local bakery (or any local food establishment) over a chain. Better quality ingredients, food, and real people. With any family business (yes, my husband works for his), there are times you can and will adjust your hours based on demand, season, etc. You are allowed to do that. I’m writing this review because 1. I love this bakery, 2. I saw a very negative review from someone else and, 3. The time and skill it takes to make these items is insane! My family always gets excited when I bring back Haylie B’s cupcakes! We chose to announce our pregnancy this way and I love to stop in, randomly, just for a treat. I think it’s great the way service and hours are communicated. Again, this is a family owned bakery. Not a chain! You get what you pay for and sometimes hours alter because of events, large orders, and selling out! This is a good thing…every time I see this shop close early because “we are so sold out”- I think to myself, YOU GO GIRL! One last note to remember…when each order is personalized (not to mention the amazing assortments in the case to grab n go), we as customers have to understand that there may be times our favorite bakery is booked up. Again, this is a good thing! I hope someone out there finds this message useful. Keep choosing this...
Read moreHaylie B’s has so much to offer. The fresh, fun, unique menus that change every month have kept me coming back. Her case sells out fast, but that’s because everything she fills it with looks and tastes amazing. From an afternoon treat solo or with friends, to celebrating birthdays with a custom cake, Haylie B’s has never disappointed. Her attention to detail, quality ingredients, and commitment to service is unmatched. Haylie B’s is a local, small business owned and operated by one person. Whenever I’ve reached out about custom orders, product questions, or stopped in the shop in person, Haylie herself has responded to me with courtesy, professionalism, and greeted me with a smile. I very much appreciate everything that Haylie has provided for my friends, family, and myself, and because of this I will continue to personally recommend and patronize...
