In all my years of coming to this store I’ve never had an issue until tonight. As usual the line is always long before 10pm. I arrived at 9:40, quietly came in and sat down toward the entrance of the store because that’s where the end of the line was. 5 minutes later a young lady walks in, I politely tell her I’m in line just sitting down, then a couple (husband and wife) walks in not too long after. Another 5 minutes passes and the employee walks to toward the entrance of the store, still behind the counter, and tells the young lady and the couple “the store is closed these are my last customers for the night.” They look at their watches because at this time it’s 9:50pm, still a ten minute window before closing time of 10pm. The patrons walk out then I get up and remain in line. The employee sees me, and not too long after another lady comes inside and stands behind me. The employee tells me and the other lady that the store is closed. I tell the employee that I’ve been inside for a while, not too long after the customers before me. She said “how long after? I’ve had customers come in before you and I had to turn them away.” I told her “I was here before you turned those customers away. Was it a young lady by herself and a couple?” The employee said yes, and she said “but the store is still closed and I had to go.” I felt that was very unfortunate and should have been thought through more on behalf of the employee, I don’t think it was good judgement on her part being that I entered 20 minutes before closing time and was dismissed and could not be served. I would have left the employees a tip as well, I always do. I respect the employees that work at this store and have always had a pleasant experience but this, not so much. Very...
Read moreI wish I would’ve read the recent reviews before going here. The line was very long at Marble Slab so we decided to go down the street and visit this place yesterday afternoon. There were only 4 people in line ahead of us but it took them 15 minutes to take our orders.
My girlfriend wanted to get ice cream because she specifically wanted coffee ice cream, but they were very low on 5 or more flavors. Not sure how an ice cream shop can be that low on every popular flavor. The girls taking our order were rude and unenthusiastic and said they “were out of coffee” even though there was plenty to make 1 or 2 more cups. I ordered mine and we decided to share it, and no more than 30 seconds after we sat down, they put out more coffee ice cream. Didn’t think to mention that when we’d ordered it less than a minute earlier? Overall awful experience and I’ll never go back. We ended up having to go to Marble Slab anyway and wasted $7 on getting runny mediocre ice cream at this place. No clue how they’re...
Read moreIt was uncomfortable bringing my family if 6 here. Our order was almost $50, which would have been fine, IF there was a table large enough to seat us (or enough tables to put two together), the place had been cleaned recently, and we would have gotten the amount of ice cream that we paid for. There were only 3 or 4 tables and my husband and I had to stand while our children ate. We had to get wet wipes out of the car to clean the table before we sat down (all of the tables were gross). The widows were dirty, rhe ic cream case was dirty, the toilet/bathroom was disgusting (like what seemed to be poo on the toilet and the sink), I chose to go down to Whole Foods to use the facilities instead. The girl making my ice cream picked at skin on her nose while she took my order then put gloves on. It was an awful experience. Oh and each cup of ice cream that we received wasn't even...
