Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday several days ahead of the day I needed it. I arrived on time to pick it up and it wasn't even ready yet or made for that matter. I then had to wait 15 minutes for them to come out with it during a horrible thunderstorm that was rolling in. That I would have missed if they were on time. The owner proceeded to check me out and help me pay for my item. He then went on and on and on about the fact that I should have paid $4 more and how much was I going to pay, making me feel very uncomfortable about the whole matter and honestly I should have walked out at that moment. He said ordering online is different and I got away with paying much less for a nice cake that is muvh more. That made me even more uncomfortable but I then proceeded to pay for the item which was $30 mind you with taxes for a 6in cake. Out of all the cakes I founf at different shops this company was the most, so I had no idea why he was trying to take more money from me. I quickly took the cake abd hurried out because of the bad storm, by the way I never received his receipt and there was never a tag on the plastic container the cake was in. And the cake dome was fogged up halfway home, then thats when I was able to actually see what I had purchased for $30. I will be tagging the photos of that cake by the way. The owner who made my cake in the back who took forever to make my little 6-inch cake, didn't even put the Oreo cover on the whole cake it has several huge Parts that were open with the white frosting, and he didn't even put on the right amount of toppings. He missed two toppings completely that are my husband's favorite which I couldn't add to it in time. And he threw little bits of cookie and two Oreos on top. Even with my cake carefully placed in my car all the pieces rolled right off. Now it is a cookie blast cake so it kind of looks a little crazy but this looked ridiculous. I contacted customer support I even contacted the page on Facebook. All I got was the fact that this is privately owned through their company name there's nothing they can do about it. Do not waste your time getting cake at this horrible shop. The owner greedily wants your money and gives you a product that is horrible in return. Less than a few minutes away on the other end of corporate are too amazing cake places probably more actually. I should have left that store when I came in and my cake wasn't even ready, the storm was rolling in and I could hear them talking about how they were having to put together real quick. I should have gone down to Nothing But Cakes or Cold Stone Creamery and gotten a cake from there. I would suggest anyone else do the same. If I could give this place negative Stars I would. The place was pretty busy for 10 oclock at night. The guy working there handled each customer quickly, but didn't rush them out or anything like that. If you ask for a sample, they happily give you one. I ordered a shake version of one of their popular mixtures. I think it was a peanut butter chocolate thing. Lol mine was really good. But the reason we went there is for a malt for my husband. The reason for the 3 star review is that the malt was very bad. It was thin like milk, and didn't taste very good. He was very disappointed. If you come here, i do not recommend the malt. However, the ice cream is very good. Give it a try...

We had a terrible experience at Fred’s Custard on Siegen last night after leaving TopGolf. They closed 20 minutes early for some reason. We decided to try to make it over to Marble Slab before they closed at 11:00 so we can satisfy the sweet tooth of our family of six. We made it to the store at exactly 10:55 pm.
