First night there I went to hang clothes in closet and the bi-fold door fell and hit me in the back. I instantly reported it to the desk they said someone would be right up to fix it, no one ever came. We requested a cot. It took them 4 hours to locate one and bring it the room. There was strands of dust/cobwebs hanging from many areas of the ceiling. The door stop was also broke and laying on the floor of the closet. In the bathroom the sink only had warm or hot water. Cold water was not an option. The toilet also only had hot water so every time we used it our bottom would feel wet from the steam coming out of the toilet. The air conditioner sound like it was going to blow up. They of course couldn't change rooms because they were sold out. Second day, I called and asked for towels and hour later.... still no towels. So I went into the hall and asked the housekeeper for towels. I was then told by the housekeeper that it was not her "side" of the hall and she would not give me any towels. I then sent my niece to the desk to ask for towels. They told her someone would send them right up. Once again we waited, and waited, and no one came. Finally, I went back to the hall and demanded towels. By this time we were late for the competition that was being put on at the hotel. They did upgrade us to a different room on the second night. That room was much nicer however the air did not work in that room which made it uncomfortable to sleep. There was crayon scribbles all over the walls, the months April, May, June were written in permanent marker on the bed, the coffee pot was broken, and there was no cold water in that bathroom sink either. Overall, it was by far the most stressful stay I have ever experienced. It seemed like everything was broken and it took forever to get anything accomplished. I am still in disbelief that the housekeeper said that to me. The one good thing about the stay was the breakfast buffet was delicious and the waiter was very nice and attentive. However, breakfast was not included as part...
Read moreOn March 24, 2023 we checked into our standard double queen room around 1 pm. Around 2 pm, my daughter noticed a small hole on the ceiling above the toilet. The hole was about the size of a gulf ball. The hole was not reported to hotel staff because I did not believe it to be a serious issue. The following morning around 6 am, we noticed the hole to be slightly larger and water was dripping on the toilet below the hole. I called down to the front desk to report the damage and was told that maintenance would be by to take a look at it. I went downstairs to use the gym for about 30 minutes to 1 hour and when I returned back to my room I noticed that maintenance had yet to come and fix the hole. I called down to the front desk again and spoke with a different staff member and explained to them the current situation. While still on the phone the staff member paged maintenance and they said they would be coming by to take a look. 30 minutes later around 9:30 a maintenance worker arrived and I was told that the floor above me had a few toilet overflows which is what could have caused the hole and the water leakage. He patched up the hole with some tape and cleaned up the debris from the ceiling. He also had housekeeping come by to deliver clean towels. I asked if they would need to move us and he stated that he would look into it but that he was unsure because they were completely booked. I never heard from maintenance or any other staff members until the following day after check-out. After checking out the following day Sunday, March 26 I made sure to mention the patched hole so that they wouldn’t book anyone else to stay in the room until the damage was completely fixed. I received a phone call from the hotel right before noon apologizing for the inconvenience of the hole and offered me compensation. I accepted a lower rate for the room. I was then emailed a new invoice where I was compensated for 1...
Read moreThis is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in. My family booked a stay from March 12 through the 19th. First of all the hotel was way over booked. The management was terrible. I felt sorry for the customer service people checking people in, it was not there fault management lacked the ability to lead. Our first day we arrived we had no iron, no hangers and clock radio was missing. The management was oblivious to this and had an I don't care attitude toward this. Once in our rooms we realized that renovations were taking place on the same floor we were staying, the whole floor smelt of paint fumes. Then the elevators began to break down. You had to take the stairs to get to your room or hope you didn't get stuck on an elevator. Next our room door would not lock and we had to leave the door unlocked for maintenance to repair. The outside pool was dirty and no clean towels were available even if you wanted to try and swim. One night teenagers were in our hall dancing at 12:30am and when we called the front desk we were told to enjoy the party. When we spoke to management and asked if we could cancel the rest of our stay to go to another hotel. We were told that these issues would not be considered a reason for a refund or help with a cancellation. Sheila the manager on duty was no help and Michale the General Manager would not even come out of his office. We eventually did leave and went to Embassy Suites down the road. We recommend to book with Embassy Suites. They have awesome management and the stay comes with a very nice breakfast. Yes, it was so bad that we chose to pay an additional $800 dollars, so our whole trip would not be terrible. I rate Crowne Plaza of Baton rouge -10😤, please take my advise never stay here, you will regret it. No, I am not a disgruntled employee, this actually happen...
