McDonald's — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

This was my first time coming to the new upgraded restaurant. I place my order at the kiosk at 4:11 pm and stepped to the wall by the waiting area to get my food. The lady at the counter asked could she help me (she was a new employee but the manager should’ve told her what her duties were and how the contactless ordering works), I told her I was waiting for my food. A supervisor can out to help her with an order and asked about the people waiting, she told her we were waiting on our food but the supervisor only ask the two guys in front what part of their order they were waiting on. When another employee finished her lunch and was coming back to work, the new lady finally asked should she be getting the orders. At this time there were 10 people waiting for food. The lady coming back from lunch got everyone’s receipts and had our orders filled within a minute of her taking charge. I received my food at 4:29 pm. It took 18 minutes from ordering to getting my food for a basic Big Mac meal. I don’t know if this is their normal way of business but it doesn’t make me want to come back especially if I’m pressed for time. Stopped for a quick bite while traveling from Texas to Florida. Upon entering, the floors were disgusting like they had been mopped with old dirty water and the bathrooms were a mess! If it was just me, I would have turned around and found a different place, but I had 2 hungry kiddos with me who were already road weary. To start, we were the only ones inside and it took 15 minutes to get the food. I figured since we got there early, at least our food would be fresh, as “fresh” as you can get at McDonald’s. Wrong! Can someone explain how fries are cold at 10:55 am?! The serving counter was gross, all the fries were dumped in the bag upside down and the hamburger was thrown together with the sauce all over the bun. I don’t expect a lot from McDonald’s. We all know going in it’s mediocre. I just expect the service to be better, the restaurant to be clean, napkins in the bag and for my fries to be hot, especially right when the lunch service starts! The entire area around this establishment is subpar in general. People begging for money on the corner and others walking with shopping carts across the street. Had the same type of service when I went to this location on 5/16/18 at 10:23 pm. The lobby is supposed to be open until 11 pm. I tried going to the lobby to place an order to go, and the manager snapped at me telling me that they were short handed and the lobby was closed. While she is displaying some of the rudest behavior she is waving her hands and jerking her neck. Just the epitome of disgusting behavior. Mind you, there was no-one in the drive thru or outside. I then tried calling the same location to no avail because nobody would answer the phone. No matter how many times I called. The same has been said many other times and yet the same stuff keeps happening and no us doing a damn thing about it. This is sad!
