This was my boyfriend’s and I first time in LA and the first restaurant we visited. So this post is super upsetting to write.

We arrived around 9:20pm. The bartender was great, atmosphere is undeniably beautiful. What was the biggest mood kill was the customer service from the guy at the grill.

We understand we arrived on Super Bowl night, but we did nothing to deserve his attitude. First off, no “Hello”. Just a blank stare looking like we were inconveniencing him. But being optimistic people and understanding it was probably a busy night, we brushed it off.

I asked for the taco salad with a side of guac (I’m vegetarian). When the food arrived, it was just lettuce and cheese. I went back to ask politely about the black beans and guacamole and he said “we’re out”. At this point, I’m annoyed. I told him “it would’ve been nice if that was mentioned so I could’ve ordered something else, which he RUDELY said “well, it was a busy night and we ran out, I don’t know what to tell you”. And I said “ok well I ordered guac as well.” And he gave me the guac.

This was SO disappointing especially for our first visit in Louisiana. I understand having a rough day, but there was NO need to treat a customer like that. I am ALL about hospitality and customer service - and this place left a bad taste in my mouth. Never coming here again, nor recommending which is upsetting bc it is a...

I hadn't been to The Bulldog in years, completely due to the fact that they allow dogs here. I'm not really a lover of dogs, and I once stepped in dog doo here. But that was a few years ago so recently I decided to give it another chance. Surprisingly, there were no dogs there this time. And there wasn't any the time after that.

The food here is surprisingly good and they have a bit more than your basic pub fare. The main thing I enjoyed from the menu was their few vegetarian friendly options. I'm normally lucky to find anything at all that I can eat a restaurant.

You do have to order food if you want to drink there right now. And sadly, you cannot sit at the bar. Also, currently their sitting room is off limits. But I really like the decor this place has. And the drinks are great too. They seem to have a fully stocked bar, and a huge selection of draft beers. The patio is also nice and well maintained.

Basically I love the place now and I'm sad that I wrote it off for so long over something as small as allowing dogs. I will certainly be back to enjoy the great drinks and service, and the good food they...

Definitely one of top 5 places in Baton Rouge. To start, the atomosphere and the lighting inside are great, it's a perfect place for casual friendly hang out, dates, family night outs and simply a good one for any reason to be out there. They have a really cool and beautiful furnitured section which reminded me of the Central Perk in FRIENDS, you can reserve this part for your party's or just sit there if it has not been reserved. My most favorite part, they have a really beautiful patio and outdoor sitting which is always open, summer and winter you can enjoy the space with the needed heating or cooling system, there's also a nice small water fountain which altogether with the right weather can give you an unforgettable time there. For the food part, I had their BBQ-chedar burger and it was one of the best burgers I had in BR, the drink menu and the bar game is also very heavy, I got confused on what to order since they had an almost complete one. Believe once you go here the place is marked on your map under...

This is a fantastic spot for a late night bite, which was the main purpose for our visit. The order was placed at midnight, and the food that arrived was restaurant quality. The chicken tenders were freshly battered and tossed in buffalo sauce with blue cheese crumbles. Yet, the waffle fries were the star of the show: seasoned to perfection. My boyfriend had the chicken quesadillas, and it was loaded with chicken, cheese, and flavor. This is a bar, so of course we had libations, and I had to nurse my margarita because the bartender was liberal with the tequila. Twisted tea was on tap along with 40+ beers & wines. The food was pricey, but for the quality that time of night, it was worth it. There were several things that were sold out due to the lateness of the evening, like shrimp and ranch. Verdict: This will definitely be a little late night spot for some really good eats & drinks.

Service was great especially in these covid times. Great beer selection. However, the 3 stars fall apon managment. I ordered some great beer and some wings. When the wings arrived I was extremely disappointed. I have been craving wings all day and when they were presented to me, I was embarrassed. Not for me, but for the servers having to serve them. I promptly ordered the steak quesadillas which turned out to be an amazingly good dish. The wings however were the size of a pigeon. My server spoke with management about it and they refused to take it off my bill. I was told because of the size they had added more to my order. Working for small little bits of meat on a bunch of adolescent wings is not the same as enjoying proper sized buffalo wings. Overall happy with the place and service. Won't recommend the wings anytime soon.

A fine bar with a wide selection of beers on tap, and a decent pub grub menu. Not a bad atmosphere and they let dogs inside which suited me and was cool to see. Didn't seem overly busy or exciting on the one Friday evening I was there, and if that's all it's like I'd say it's nothing to write home about. Other reviews seem to mention a busier, better atmosphere - I guess when something is happening in town, as is the case with most bars. I was hoping for a little more on a Friday, but I guess that's the luck of the draw. I had a shrimp po-boy and split some sweet potato fries, both of which tasted good. IG: @easty_eats
