Went to Hobby Lobby on College Dr to find some vintage inspired fabric for a YT project. Rang the bell twice and waited about 10 minutes for the cutting counter person, Jo to show up; rude attitude included. I asked her the price of the fabric, as it was in the 50% off bin, but had two different prices. Her reponse was to ask me,"What do you think??". I kept my composure and thought maybe she didn't understand, so I re-asked. "What I mean is will it be 50% off of the original price, or off of the lower marked price?" She looked at me and retorted,"What do you think? It isn't 50% off anything it is the price marked." Ok then nevermind, I started folding the fabric back up like I used to train people to do when I worked at Hobby Lobby. She then tells me, "That isnt the way we fold it here!" To which I answered, "Well this is the way I trained people at Hobby Lobby to fold it." She shut up after that. I put it back and walked out. This store will never get my business again. When did stores begin hiring these hideously rude people, and forget to train them? Must have started after the store in Alexandria, LA's manager, Lyn caused an employee to commit...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately I had to edit this review, because today.. at Hobby Lobby I had a negative experience. Same good deals and craft stock, had exactly what I needed. The issue was that myself and about 25 other customers were in 2 lines. I had one item and stood in line for about 15 minutes. This is unacceptable. I also watched the manager Brennan open up a register to check out another employee and then proceed to close the register and stand around and chat with 3 other employees while they only had 2 lines open for the 20+ customers. myself and lots of other customers were very unhappy. This is unacceptable and I do believe Hobby Lobby needs better procedures for this kind of thing & possibly better management.
This is the review I made 3 years ago around this time: I love hobby lobby. They have great deals and an online coupon that can be used in stores. But beware it is PACKED for the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere are just no words for the ridiculous prices and ridiculous clueless manager over the store amd the poser manager at the one register that actually is open put of 10-12 lanes. I spent over $150 on mostly clearance small items and after my experience twice this week, I'm returning it all and never going back. It seems all the things in there come from a Chinese catalog that could be bought online 60% cheaper. I used to love this place but I realize now how cheap the items are made and the insanity of how much it's marked up EVEN on "mark down". Nope Hobby Lobby.....you might be a Christian based company but it's not very Christian like to overcharge significantly for things that can be bought for a tenth of what your charging as well as never dealing with the staff at the front checkouts and the clueless...
