If you're looking for a fantastic dining experience in Bay City, look no further than Vinny’s Pizzeria. We visited yesterday, and despite already being pretty familiar with the area, we were on the hunt for a spot that would satisfy everyone in our party. Vinny’s stood out not just for its extensive pizza selection but also for its variety of other dishes and fresh salads. Safe to say, we made the right choice.

Accommodating and Inclusive Dining

One of the biggest surprises (and wins) of the night was how well Vinny’s handled dietary restrictions. My wife has a severe onion and garlic allergy, and for an Italian restaurant to navigate that so effortlessly is nothing short of impressive. Their base pizza sauces are completely onion- and garlic-free, which made customizing her meal a breeze. They worked with us to ensure she could still enjoy a great pizza without compromise—something that’s incredibly rare in Italian cuisine.

Food That Exceeds Expectations

I went with the Hawaiian pizza, and let me tell you—this wasn’t your standard ham-and-pineapple situation. The hot honey drizzle took it to another level, adding a perfect sweet-heat balance that made each bite even better. My wife built her own pizza, crafting it exactly how she wanted, and it came out cooked to perfection.

Someone else in our group ordered the fried mozzarella, and I fully expected a typical plate of mozzarella sticks. I was wrong. What arrived was something much better—crispy, gooey, and packed with flavor. This wasn’t just a bar-style app; it was twice as good as expected.

One of the best surprises of the night? Their Sunday special—buy one pizza at full price, get the second at half off. With all the food we ordered, we walked out completely satisfied and with a surprisingly low bill.

Ambiance, Service & Extras

From the moment we walked in, everything went smoothly. The decor was welcoming, and we were seated quickly. One small but notable touch—complimentary bread and dipping oils were brought to the table, and unlike a lot of places that serve generic oil, this one was actually good.

The service was stellar—attentive, friendly, and patient, even with our allergy requests. They made us feel welcomed rather than like an inconvenience, which speaks volumes about the staff’s professionalism and hospitality.

Final Thoughts & Pro Tip

If you’re in Bay City, Vinny’s Pizzeria is a must-visit. It’s got a great mix of classic Italian flavors, thoughtful service, and budget-friendly specials that make for a top-notch dining experience. One tip—check their weekly specials! It looks like they have different deals running every day, so a little planning can make your visit even better.

I love the piano music, but the food is disappointing.

Everyone keeps telling me the food is top notch, but for some reason my body disagrees.

First time I visited I got the chicken Parmesan and it was delicious going down but I didn’t feel well couple hours later.

Second visit I got the build your own pizza with red sauce, grilled chicken and fresh spinach. The crust was extremely dry, crunchy like toast & I don’t like that style at all but I love the ingredients. Again tasted good going down but terrible stomach ache couple hours later.

I never ever get a stomach ache when I cook at home.

For $17 the pizza should be at least three times bigger. Kind of felt like a rip off. I guess you’re paying more for the atmosphere than the food.

Waited over an hour, just to be seated when there was empty tables everywhere.

The table I was sitting at ordered five pizzas and only four of them arrived. They totally forgot to make my mom’s pizza. They told her it would just need a little bit more time when it was a veggie pizza. Everyone was half finished by the time she got hers.

After two tries I’m not...

Just had the most amazing experience at Vinnie's Pizzeria! 🍕🔥 This place may not be new, but it was my first time here and I was blown away. The ambiance is clean and cozy, giving off an Italian tavern-like vibe that instantly made me feel at home.

But let's talk about the food! 🤤 The moment I tried their housemade bread and oil dip, I knew I was in for a treat. It was the perfect start to an unforgettable meal. And when the pizzas arrived, piping hot and crispy out of the brick oven, I couldn't wait to dig in. We ordered the pepperoni & honey and the meat lovers, and oh my goodness, they were out of this world! The flavors were so rich and authentic, it felt like I was transported straight to Italy.

I'm already planning my next visit because Vinnie's Pizzeria has officially become my new weekly stop. Even though I don't drink, I have to mention their impressive bar area with a wide selection of drinks on the menu.

If you're looking for a place that serves mouthwatering pizzas with a touch of Italy, look no further than Vinnie's Pizzeria. Trust me, you won't be...

Tried this place for the first time today, I was excited to actually get in before they got busy. But it will be our last time going here. The service was very slow our server was not attentive at all we had to go up to the bar to order are alcohol beverages and had to wave down other servers for things we needed. For food we ordered the spicy honey pizza firstly there was no honey on the pizza, the sauce was flavorless and the pizza dough was not made fresh you can tell in the texture and taste it was pre made the dough was also very soggy you would think for a thin crust pizza made in a brick oven it would have that perfect crisp! Nope just so disappointing for a pizza. We also got the chicken Marsala which was also lacking in any flavor the noodles were in a very watery sauce, the chicken was just boiled and put in with the noodles and sauce very bland and just overall not appetizing. To be honest with you little Caesars can make a better pizza.
