The Market at Ale & Compass — Restaurant in Bay Lake

I'm on the fence on whether 4 stars or 3 stars is acceptable, but I went with 3.

The employees and market were great, nothing at all against them, period.

We got a grilled cheese, some mac & cheese, and a Cubano.

I expected very little from the first two, but was very much looking forward to a Cubano.

The mac & cheese was great, according to my wife, and the grilled cheese was definitely good, from my one bite, the kids passed out before giving their opinions.

The Cubano, on the other hand, was truly awful. Half of it was toasted beyond reason to where it was rock hard and begging to blacken. I ignored this much, because the other half was not, and maybe a confusion with the toasting machine. But no, the meat had no taste, it was very dry, and I couldn't taste a single pickle.

I'd say I also couldn't taste mustard at all, but I'm pretty sure it didn't list it on the description, which should have been the biggest red flag.

TLDR: great market, don't touch that...

Love this place. Has a little bit of everything. The food offerings are not huge from the cafe portion but served our family well as we mainly eat more meals at the restaurants or at the parks/off Disney property. The waffles and tater tots were great for the quick needed breakfast for the kids. The staff is always kind and helpful. They have a microwave there that guests that can use as well. Love, that I can get some wine if I wanted too as well. The coffee drinks are good, nothing super special but nice if you want something other than what's in the room. The gift shop area is always well stocked and has a great offering of items, don't even need to go elsewhere if you don't want too. Love all the employees here. It's always clean...

Horrible breakfast sandwich. The egg white wrap with tots. Tots were greasy and stale. Down right chewy. The wrap was mostly folded up wrap. Some granular egg white with a little tomato and spinach. Starbucks egg white wrap is much better and that makes it even sadder. At least a young man working there gave us a full refund and offered a replacement sandwich of what seemed to be a bagel/pretzel bread. Not much better. Greasy as hell bottom half. I recommend the parfait at the Beach Club Marketplace. It’s still one of the best values on...
