So, I just went to this place last night with a friend and her family and they spoke so highly about this place that I was excited. Sounded like very authentic Italian food. We walked in and it felt like I was stepping back in time to my grandmas living room. The atmosphere may be odd to some, but if you grew up in an Italian American household, it will feel like home. The woman there is the only cook, she cooks everything herself, and the son helps and brings the food out. Both are very sweet. I ordered rigatoni with meatballs and it was delicious, but the woman came out at one point and said “oh my god I tasted the pasta, I didn’t put enough salt”, I said please no, it’s so delicious I promise you. But that’s the stuff I appreciate, a chef who knows what she’s doing, that she will stop everything and come out and make that comment. That’s the authenticity that I search for that I can not find usually when I’m in an Italian restaurant. A friend ordered a steak and it was huge, I was upset I didn’t get that because it looked like the best steak ever. The eggplant parmigiana was phenomenal. Had some blue sangria and it was strong and delicious. I can’t think of a single complaint. I’m not sure how this place was before Covid, but I think it’s more low key now with Covid. We had to place our order before hand. But when we got there, the food was just about ready to come out. She bakes her own bread!!! This place screams Italian Nonna. Try your best to come to this place. I for sure will be back. This place is a gem and I hope she keeps this place for many more years to come. Best wishes to her...
Read moreBeen waiting to try Angelina’s for a while. Finally made it here!! First you have to call and make reservations months in advance due to their popularity. You also have to order your food weeks prior.
We walked in and were greeted by JonPaul. Only 5 tables but they have staggered seating due to the food being cooked fresh. Ms. Angelina cooks everything herself.
The restaurant looks like we stepped into a Quentin Tarantino movie. You have to see it in person to know what I mean. Freaking awesome!!
Blue sangria!!
We ordered the Tomato and mozzarella salad and Stuffed artichoke. Both were equally delicious. Very large portions. The artichoke was huge!! Escarole and bean soup was very, very good!!
We ordered the Veal Parmesan , Chicken Parmesan , shrimp scampi and broccoli rabe with sausage pasta. Not realizing how big these portions are.. we left with half the food. Both parmesans were tender, flavorful and had a nice crisp to the outside. Shrimp scampi was delicious, lots of shrimp and had a great scampi sauce. Broccoli rabe and sausage pasta was excellent.
Tiramisu cake and fresh cannoli with espresso to end the evening.
Food was absolutely amazing!!! Service was fantastic!!

Read moreAbsolutely LOVED the atmosphere, the food and the celebration of my cousin's birthday! We had family style so I didn't get to see the full menu but I can only imagine the whole thing tastes as good as what I had. The starter salad and muscles were terrifically PHENOMENAL! I've never tasted Penne Vodka so good and that's one of my favorite dishes so I really hunt for the good stuff. Everything is cooked to order which means it's not going to taste like anything short of EXCEPTIONAL! My aunt know's the mother who is the cook and my assumption would be that her name is Angelina but holy cow can this woman cook. Everything felt like it was made with love, love not just for cooking but love to have your guests leaving with a smile and full stomach! Like I said everything is cooked to go, because of this don't go there if you have a time restraint. This is a "take your time enjoy the food and the time with who you brought" kind of place! I will definitely be back again soon as it's a place I'd like to go to more often, I live about 30m away and it will be worth the experience every time. I could go on for DAYS about how awesome this place is but where would that leave the rest of you and your imagination? 😂😉...
