Tasty Kebab — Restaurant in Bayonne

Stopped by here for what was supposed to be a quick lunch with my husband. We ordered two sandwiches one on the pide bread and the other one on the lavas wrap. We also got fries and a water. Considering there’s only like two items on the menu. I was expecting to have the food out pretty quick. The cashier told us that she’d bring it out when it was ready. I watched closely as the man was making the food, who was clearly still being trained. I noticed that he didn’t put any sauce on the wrap, but still waited to see if maybe I missed it. I noticed that my husband’s food was done first and the wrap was still being made. It took so long that by the time the food came out my husband‘s sandwich was ice cold. I open my wrap and there’s no sauce. So I took it back and asked for it to be remade, which again took time. When it finally came out and we started eating, I realized that the meat was very dry and hard and tough and didn’t have much flavor to it. Also, my wrap was mainly veggies, specifically onions, not much meat. The sauces had no flavor. The hot sauce was not spicy at all. It tasted like watered down ketchup. The fries were OK. They make them fresh with the skin on but a bit greasy and salty. Overall, I will not be going back to this place and do not recommend it. It was not worth $30. It needs a...

Listen. The food was exquisite (Pide mix). Very few employees are as professional and respectful as the 2 employees there. My wife and I had an extended conversation with the young man, Vince. I was quite delighted with our discussion. He conveyed his deep commitment, understanding, and methodical work ethic relating to food handling and safety practices.

Having a background in medical sciences, it was refreshing to see young men taking their work with passion.

Too many restaurants nowadays have this nonchalant, lackluster approach to food health and safety practices, resulting in us consumers paying the food poisoning bill with our health. This place is different, and Bayonne is all the better for it.
