Starbucks — Restaurant in Bayonne

FYI: This review will be a pretty long.

I've been to this Starbucks 3 times. The first two times were okay but this last time (this morning) was horrible. I had a couple drinks and food items to order. Usually, when you go to an actual Starbucks location, they hear you out for the ENTIRE order before rushing off to make the drinks. This was NOT the case. I got through saying one, just one, of the drinks before the employee rushed off to make the drink. In the middle of her doing that, she ended up having a personal conversation with a friend of hers on the side, which I didn't mind as I was on the phone myself. When she came back, I told her that I had a second drink order and again, before I can finish the rest of my order, she walked off to make the drink. When she finally came back AGAIN, I told her that to complete my order, I just wanted brownies. I'm assuming she couldn't hear what I was saying and assumed I was ordering another drink because at that point, she raised her voice and started going off on me. She went off saying: "You can't order another drink. Next time, order everything at once instead of conversing (yes,that's the word she used) on the phone, because it's not fair that I have to keep coming back and forth to make your drink and it's not fair to other guests in the line. Etc, etc, etc". At this point, I was just disgusted with the way she reacted when I kept saying I wanted brownies. When she finally heard what I said, she quickly changed her tune. She offered no apology, no nothing. Will NEVER go back here again. This Starbucks needs to either re-train this employee or hire a new one. Wish I could give zero stars...

I walked in at 7:05pm to order a double chocolate frappuccino on tonight(sunday). I made sure to look at the hours to make sure its not right before they closed. They close at 9pm. So the girl working there said she already broke down the machines and started soaking them 2 HOURS BEFORE CLOSING. The 1 hour rule I understand, but you're telling me you're closing down 2 hours before, you actually close? She refused to make the drink for me. This was beyond rude. In the end of the day it is what it ie, it must be nice to be able to close down 2 hours early because you want to leave early . All the baked good were also wrapped up so both employees planned on leaving early, why else would they break everything down 2 hours in advance. Then the employee tried to justify by saying they actually close at 8:30, the website says...

Although this is the only Starbucks in Bayonne, I will not be going back. Some of the drinks on the menu aren’t available, which leads to choosing from a limited amount of options. The barista was quick to prepare my drink. However what made me write this review is that straws were exposed and weren’t wrapped with paper. Now I don’t usually complain, but during times like these, companies should be taking extra precaution with straws and utensils. Even if we weren’t going through a pandemic things, like chemicals or powders, could still end up on the straw and someone ill. Please be careful when going to...
